Opioids Friend tried opiates for the first time and he didn't feel anything?

When I say friend I am not referring to myself by the way, it actually is my friend. Anyways, I am an opiate addict, any opiate is my drug of choice, dope(heroin) being what I tend to use daily. I would never let my friend try heroin as he is a close friend and I have experienced for years first hand what it can do to your life. Anyways, last night I came across some Hydrocodone 7.5mg pills and some Oxycodone 5mg Pills. Now keep in mind my friend has no opiate tolerance and weighs around 160lbs. I can usually feel 10mg of Oxycodone still and i have a pretty high tolerance. I'm not saying it is a strong dose, but its still there. So i figured i'd let him try taking a 5mg Oxy and a 7.5mg Hydro together and give em a nice buzz. After hours of waiting his pupils stayed normal size and he felt nothing. My question would be, do you think it actually didn't touch him, or did he just not realize it? I was thinking it may be that I know what i'm looking for when i take opiates and he has no clue. So maybe a stronger dose next time? I'm giving him a Roxy 15mg tommarow, that should do the trick. But i'm still wondering why last night was a bust. If you have any ideas id love to hear your opinion. Thank you for any responses.

I don't think I felt any opiates until the 4th time I did them. My friend sold me his script of vicodin about 10 years ago, and I thought they were a waste. I took them occasionally, and finally understood the high about the 4th time. I do believe it's because I just didn't know what I was looking for. An opiate high is very subtle to me, even 2 beers, or one hit of weed will overpower the high and ruin it. I find even if I had smoked weed or taken a benzo the day before it will still sort of ruin it.

I like opiates all by themselves, not even with caffeine. I just feel the high is so subtle than anything overpowers it. It's funny how the strongest addiction I ever faced seemed to have the most subtle effects when using.

Keep in mind there's virtually no difference between letting your friend taste hydrocodone or oxycodone and heroin. If he gets addicted to oxycodone, it's going to be as tragic as if he got addicted to heroin. Chances are he will start using higher and higher doses of oxycodone or start taking heroin. What is the difference? There's none, it's an illusion. Addiction is in your head, so beating addiction to even codeine may be as hard as quitting heroin for some people.

Addiction of any drug is harder to quit depending on how much you like the drug & how it makes you feel.

For me, if I didn't have pain, I wouldn't have tried opiates & I really don't think I would like them much.

My first couple times I got very dizzy & nauseated thinking my head was gonna explode.

I waited 10 years after those few terrible experiences to get it prescribed again for my chronic back pain.

I would tell my dentist & other doctors I was allergic to opiates so they wouldnt prescribe them to me because of those awful experiences first couple times.

10 years later, vicodin felt great & took my pain away........what changed in those 10 years? Body chemistry? Who knows but now they work........

why are you trying to get him addicted? 7.5mg of hydros is nothing. 5mg oxy is similar. just give him 15-20mg hyro and leave it at that. he'll feel it

I'm not trying to get my friend addicted. Hes been wanting to try opiates for a very long time to see why I am in love with them so much. I understand they are addicting as I am addicted myself. But it is his decision and he is old enough to make his own choices so that's why I started him with something subtle. Thanks for the responses everyone, but don't come at me like I am evil please. It was just a question.

Shit you can feel 10mg of Oxy even with a dope habit? Even without a tolerance I couldn't feel 30mg of oxycodone my first time so maybe you're friend is like me and naturally opiate tolerant? I assume he took the tablets orally. Have him rail that 15mg Roxi and he won't be able to stand up.

Oxycodone should be felt upon first time you try it, sometimes not though. I've taken 60-80mg of oxycodone and oxycontin mixed and barely felt it. Where as one day, I'll pop a 5 and be nodding like I'm doped out.

It's weird af with opiates.

Hyrdrocodone sucks so bad! It is such a dirty high, imo.

The difference is noobies will describe their experience like this. "I felt really drowsy" while a more experienced appreciative person (like myself) will be "blissfully content."

5mg of oxycodone wouldn't get a newborn stoned. I highly suggest codeine for noobies(no more then 60mg's.) and definitely keep all the decent opioids for yourself because getting people drowsy is a waste.

If you are a true friend, don't let him try any type of opiate that you have. Maybe it won't be as quick as heroin but his life will eventually become hell if and when he becomes addicted. Some people, though, welcome the hell as a trade off for the opiate feeling. But this feeling fades away and you eventually become addicted to a pain management drug like suboxone or methadone. I also think you're right in that he just doesn't know what to look for yet. Believe it or not, my first few times doing any type of opiate was doing heroin and I did feel it but when I tried oxycodone my first couple times, it just gave me a bad stomach ache and no euphoria.

It's his decision I have tried to talk to him about it but I know he will try to get shit anyway so I'd feel better if I knew he was getting it from a trusted source. I do appreciate the concern from everyone though. Love the bluelight community. Thanks for all the replies, I ended up giving him a roxy 15 and he felt it. Now I'm gunna do my best to make sure he doesn't make it a regular thing. Thanks everyone
