In September I kicked a 10 year habit, the last 2.5 of which were compete dependency on oxycodone tailing off at 400-600mg each day. Did a medical detox and with the help of some kratom I'm pretty much all cleaned up short of the random night of a couple of drinks. My brain was fried with my memory at an all time low - the best way to put how my world is these days would be that I feel like I'm starting a whole new life.
I spent the tail end also picking up a good C habit to keep myself awake (or to stop from nodding out at work/home). That hit the gram-a-day amount. All in all, my nose took a beating for a while there. I don't even like the drug, but it became necessary just to get through - the whole bit came to a head when I looked around and saw a nice life I built for myself and didn't know why I was numbing it away.
I've lurked these forums for a while but never touched TDS until recently. I guess I never searched too much until recently; reading posts of others going through the same shit has helped me immensely. Here and other forums. It's an amazing group of people here and I look forward to the support as well as to help people out with what I know.
I'm a 30-something male with a bunch of problems, much like everyone else in this world. And what better place to share them than with you guys
Lucky you
Much love to y'all! NR
