Under a cloud stained sky
I look for salvation from an absent god
One sided conversations with the mirror
Lost ramblings of a fallen devil
Wicked smiles
Laments
Hummed tunes and a shave
It’s morning and time for work
The daily grind on the phone
Useless words
Futile actions
And another day fades away
Evening traffic
Reflections in car
A bubble filled concrete zoo
I’ll watch you all and laugh
Up the stairs to an empty apartment
Sweat drying from the gym
Voided
White
Space
The call of the black box
Twin monoliths ready
The pushing of buttons
Anticipation
One last click and the wave fills the room
On the couch
In the bass
In the waves
Free from voices
Finally a smile
