Sitting and spinning,
writing and rolling
but not so much nowadays...
Old times gone and new to come,
thinking yourself at the top of your game
and finding the game old and tired.
So you sit back and kick ... what ?
Yourself or those you think worthy /
deserving of your losses and failings ?
Know nothing but this, words on the plate
and more at the ready, always there to
deflect your own problems, excuses galore
for this life and love of such.
Another candidate for longevity steps to the plate and for the first time YOU are the
one to fuck up, shocked and unsure and
waiting to be hurt.
No one to blame yet, but you're creative so
fuck it all, 'cause someone's bound to fit
your bill, for blame or other.
Another day gone by, another party found
and fought, and you've naught but your own goofy ass reflection glaring back at you for all that you've done.
So here's to us, friendless friends on this mission of life, thinking we own everything
whilst we scramble for anything that doesn't scratch and burn and make us bleed all over and over and over again.
Confused yet ? You goddammed should be, 'cause this ain't no easy ride, and we ain't no easy meat. But you'll try, and so'll I,
and who will be the victor ? The one left still able to smile, of course..
And once again, the cheshire cat reigns supreme, as it should be, grinning over us all in supremacy in this collage of bullshit and maze of nothingness. Enjoy it.
