FREAKING out from Codeine - rash spreading, horrible iching, HELP!!!

Took 200mg of pure codeine phosophate pills and im not sure im okay.

I can go through like 8 30mg oxys in a day easily, so I thought this would barely effect me.. I dont see how I could be possibily overdosing ?? Fuck, please someone respond quick who has knowledge/experience

WHY is this happening?

Im going to take a cool shower now and try and stay calm but I need some advice badly.


I also take Zoloft if that means anything to you, and a very small amount of Kpins per day as percribed.

FUCK its freaking me out its listed under SERVERE medical requiring reactions under all the actual medical sites


Should I just grab an anahistamine. Or should i really go to the hospital?? otherwise i dont really feel "fucked up" but my skin and this rash and im panicing now so i think thats why my heart is beating faster, im prone to anxiety
 
You're having a histamine reaction to the codeine and possibly the oxycodone.

Get your hands on some diphenhydramine or promethazine. If those don't work, seek medical attention.
 
I didnt take any Oxy yet today.... and I never even get the slightest bit ichy from it.....

im having a horribe horrible back reaction , rushing across the street to a pharmacy to see if they can give me both an antihestimime and maybe promethazine thank u

i hope this does not get any worse
 
The reason hydrocodone and oxycodone exist are to bypass / negate most of the negative effects of the parent compound. Same goes for Morphine and its derivatives.

Codeine is one of the worst for itching and histamine reaction. Hopefully the anti histamine will help!
 
thanks.... i at least think ive calmed down after a brief cold shower and the placebo effect if nothing else of taking the Zyrtec 10mg I was instructed to take and drinking lots of water....

Still wish I just had some diphenhydramine... I've never taken Zyrtec nor do I know much about it. I just want this shit to end now. I am hoping/assuming that I just had a pretty terrible and unexpected histamine release causing something I never experienced before.

And I feel pretty shitty, didn't get to sleep last night.. I know this seems like the last thing I should be doing, but its now 4:20pm over ere now, and i havent been using oxy for such a long time that I am going to go into horrible miserable W/Ds... but yes, I am going to face my first tapering off/withdrawals (luckily have many suboxone pills and im very disciplined about this kinda thing) , but since this horrible histimine "attack" just came out of nowhere and scared the shit out of me... had me itching in new ways i did not know exsisted... like that shit fucking HURT.

The Zyrtec is all I have I guess.. pharmacies are pretty much all the same around paris and it is an antihistimine so... it should work effectively i am guessing.

Fuck codeine!!! that is all I have to say haha. As long as nothing gets worse, its ok. And as long as this rash or whatever continues to fade and stop iching.


But I feel like blowing a small amount of oxy like half might actually make me feel significantly better, along with some food?

I only smoke in europe... so im gona look it up online - but other than CNS depression/opiate overdose... I highly doubt Zytrec, the codeine phosphate now fully in my system doing its thing (doesn't even deserve the title of 'Opiate'), 15mg of Oxy which has never ever given me ichyness, and some tobacco on the way to nourishment wouldnt make anything worse? only better.. ?
 
I wouldn't if I were you. Wait until these bad side effects have passed until you re-dose, even though its a different drug, its still an opiate, and may just bring those sypmtoms back into full swing. Wait. At least a couple of hours.
 
Ive taken propoxyphene (the trash in darvon/darvocet), tramadol, demerol aka meperidine aka pethidine, codeine, oxycodone, morphine, hydromorphone and fentanyl. Out of all those codeine is by far the worst for me when it comes to side effects. I find it causes way more nausea and itching then morphine or any of the stronger opiates.

Anti-histamines like diphenhydramine and hydroxyzine are what you need to do away with the histamine release codeine and other opiates can cause. That is what they would give you in a hospital to stop it. Anti-histamines also potentiate opioids so that's another plus.
 
Only an addict would rationalize taking more opiates to cure his negative reaction that came FROM opiates
