Four Days in.....

.....Europe and I have:
-Fallen totally in love with Amsterdam- didn't wanna leave- was my paradise.
-Decided that European men are gorgeous
-Found that people in The Netherlands and Germany are super nice
-Noticed you can buy disposable bullet vibrators out of vending machines at gas stations
-Developed a distaste for English Accents....the people in London seemed so rude! The accent just started to grate on my nerves after so long :\
-Driven faster than ever on the Autobahn
-Drank Heineken fresh from the brewery
-Discovered that people here are FAR more artistic and generally awesome lol
-Learned, while cruising along through canals in Amsterdam and the Amstel River, that I don't want to touch the water
-my nose twisted about having to pay to use the bathroom anywhere. That's so unfair!
-confusion about why all bottles of water are tiny and 2 euros :( Boo.
-Ate Jager Schnitzel at a REAL german place and was disappointed when it came with fries lol
-had the scariest experience with my brother when I saw exactly as he would appear if he were dead on the streets of Amsterdam. :( Not a good moment.
-So far, had the best coffee in London. Surprising to me but I will update as I'm heading to Italy soon and have 3 cafes here in the area of Germany I'm currently staying in within walking distance
-Think I was born in the wrong country.

.....More to come!!!

Sounds like you're having an amazing time so far, as you should. :) Can't wait to read more about it!

Doesn't it make you want to re-locate? I almost did so. After visiting Holland for the first time, it seemed to me that they were doing so many things so much better (city planning and layout, public transportation, investment in culture, bicycles, education, social programs, just for starters) than we are here. And our tax rates are similar to theirs after taking into account all that is taken from our paychecks -- a grocery list of state, federal, local taxes and fees. I don't think our tax money is being spent wisely over here.

Um yes!!!
I want to move to Amsterdam or Prague SO badly it's unreal.
Amsterdam was my first European love.....city-wise.....Prague is up there right next to Amsterdam though.
Has a very very different vibe and I think I would be more content in Amsterdam....it's just so peaceful and wonderful. Gosh I want to go back! :D
I never thought it would top my list, and I have another few weeks of traveling left to go but I don't know how anywhere else will beat it.... POSSIBLY Dublin. We will see.

Have you been to Berlin yet? I couldn't decide whether I liked Berlin or Prague more. I haven't been to Amsterdam though. Damn, this entry is really making me want to travel some more!!

I didn't go to Berlin.
In Germany I went , well, I drove through A LOT of Germany. Mostly North central, not all the way out to Hamburg... central, East central, and most of the south. Cities in Germany were Frankfurt, Schweinfurt, Shwangau, Wurzburg annnnd.....can't remember. I know there was somewhere else but I'm drawing a blank atm.
I heard that Hamburg was even better than Berlin.
We were on our way out east and the south so we didn't hit too much north until we flew out to Ireland from Warsaw. Didn't see much of Warsaw but what I did, I was not impressed. In Poland we stayed in a little town called Plock for a fesitval, which was fucking amazing btw.
But in the mainland Europe, I think Prague may have been my favorite city overall or the one I really want to go back to b/c I didn't get to see enough. I spent a couple days in Amsterdam and loved it, woudl totally move there but there was a lot more I wanted to see in Prague that I missed.
We also went to Vienna, which was clean, pretty but not somewhere I'd really make plans to go to again. We drove through quite a bit of Austria...Czech, Germany, and A LOT of Italy.
I should make a map online :D
I plan to do that in person and want to make a shadow box coffee table of my trip!
Anyway- rambling.

gahhhh I'm getting jealous again!! :D I'm glad you were able to go though, traveling is so good for the soul. <3

The coffee table idea sounds really neat. Do it, and post pics here! :)

^I will once I get it done. I know its going to take me months to get done but I have the idea all planned out in my head. My crafty ideas always look great in my head, making them that great in person doesn't typically happen so I want to take my time on this and get it done right. :)

Hey ocean. Too bad we didn't meet up in A'dam.

Nederlanders are awesome indeed, the country is just a dream... They have so many privileges, though. Yeah I definitely wish I was born here too (like a lot of people I guess). The only downside is the absolute flatness of their landscape (the flat land). At least their awesome architecture makes up for that.

^Agreed. it surely does make up for the flat landscape.....and the water makes up for it as well!
