found myself low on xanax. how to avoid withdrawal for tonight.

Dear readers!

I know i should've though about it earlier. I currently take around 7 gs of xanax a night.... tonight i popped my medicine bottle and found myself with only 3 left... :s...

I always tend to start to freak out about this/ especially due to the fact that i have epilepsy...

A long with the three xanax bars. i have a strap of neurontin and a strap of lyrica along with a bunch of bottles of PROMethazine, (and some tramadol pills, but heard thats not wise to take for downers)....

I basically just need something that will be able to make me go to bed without having to worry about the missing 4gs of xanax. if you know what i mean? Not sure if im so clear on my question but this is really important as it is already 9 PM here where i am. Thanks alot for your time!

How long until your refill. The gabapentin always knocked most the withdrawa with me but I was only taking like 1 mg three times a day for four or five days in a setting. Now what is in your corner is that you have Lyrica. Something I have never been able to get so that also holds promise for you....I used to freak out too when I was running out before my fill up but I just stopped abusing them and used them like I should....The promethizine can be used if your stomach bothers you from this. I would stay away from the tramadol for right now....You have a lot of good things to work with......Just do some reasearch and find a good way to stretch out the gabapentin and Lyrica.....They will also help with seizures.

thanks for that. I don't get refills as for my epilepsy i have a script to get them whenever. sincei havn;t had a seizure in over 3 years now i feel always worried when not having any benzo's of such.

Lyrica to me is still a tough nut to crack. it gave me upper feelings once... gave me downer feelings the other time..... but it surely always knocked me on my ass for a good nights sleep.

7mgs is a pretty high dose. i was under the impression that clonazepam was rx for epilepsy? in any case, try and stretch the xanax as much as possible. promethazine will def knock your ass out if thats the goal. if its poss to talk to your dr id ask hijm or her, as this could be a serious medical issue. sonic white also had good advice, as the other gaba type drugs will help replace the xanax in mode of action kind of.

This is probably a bad idea but in theory wouldn't alcohol work to avoid benzo withdrawals? Not saying its a good idea, just wondering if its a viable temporary solution should you be in the position of running out and knowing you will withdraw if you do?

Well when you detox off alch they usually give u librium, a type of benzo, so yea i felt it stopped the extra shaky feelings i was having mainly in the mornings. Its not something id reccomend tho. But i guess if ur desperate its far better than having a seizure. Im sure there are other things that would come into play on that whole thing, but im not a benzo expert lol

Alcohol will work only as long as the alcohol is active. Once the alcohol wears off, you will be in MUCH worse shape.
Use alcohol VERY carefully, and in minimal amounts in this situation. An alcohol hangover + benzo w/d is BAD FUCKING NEWS.

Oh mate. just realize its time to stop. 7mg is really nothing to worry about in my eyes. Its all in your head freaking out over a few mg that you don't have like usual! im not trying to sound like a prick but time to get off the Lucifer of the drug world. If you really cant sleep do a cwe codeiene wash which may take the edge of and eventually make u dozy. in terms of unsure if that would be dangerous given your situation. But after Novemeber of last year I believe strongly ANYTHING can be overcome. I decided late last November of last year that I felt weak taking 10x times more Xanax a day , box of codeiene,1 anti depressant and 2 antispycotics , tegrato and smack every day on a regular stupid amount basis. I had 3 seizures and took 4 weeks to feel kinda normal again, so after hearing 7mg (not even 4 bars) I would personally take 2 tonight and 1 tomorrow . drink a fuck load of chamomile tea (helped with me)......but that's IF you wana get off them, coz if u don't, then u just wont.Forgive me if I sound preachy as all over the shop you can tell answering every thread. yeah, I do drugs still. but never will I touch Xanax,codeiene,smack,zyprexa,kinston,tegratol,valpro as ive taugh myself I don't need them. sure ive struggled (not with relapse) but just with the tolls that the body copped and the brain......ummm sorry dude forgot what this thread was about.
