As above, I have found a drug interaction between a Rx that is not a controlled substance and an OTC drug.
I will share this info if someone can send me a article or two about the metabolism, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of D-Phenylalanine. I am a pharmacist who has sever neuropathic pain. I found a drug interaction that seems to take away my pain, but gives some bothersome side effects.

I will not discuss illegal substances for obvious reasons. Also, you can post what legal drug(s) have worked for other people if you like. But I'm not going to say anything other than NMDA inhibitors. I want to know everything I can find out about D-Phenylalanine. I'll tell what I know, if you tell me about D-Phenylalanine.

Thank you.

this is weird, are you just asking about the info for D-Phenylalanine? or is there another question here, like how it interacts with NMDA antagonists?

OK, I used Medline and I can't find any info about the safety and kinetics of D-Phenylalanine. If you can find out drug interactions, toxicity, metabolism, kinetics, and dynamics of D-Phenylalanine, I will tell you and anyone else how I cured my pain. The clue I gave is NMDA inhibitors are involved. I know this because I have put up with this CRAP for 9 years. I am really a pharmacist. I can meet you somewhere near my home, show you my license, and then club you in the head with the Cain I needed 3 weeks ago to help me walk.
I have had to endure putting up with pain clinic doctors who could not even draw a benzine ring. Not only was I treated badly, but I was accused of things I never did and never would do. I asked the hospital where I work to not give me a Passover to the narc cage.
I have found something that does indeed work. I slowed down on one of the meds and my pain started to come back. So I took way too much of the two interacting meds and was up for 26 hours. You may or may not believe that, but I don't care.
Now, I understand D-Phenylalanine can inhibit breakdown of endorphins. D-phenylalanine slowes down the break down of enkephalins. That's a good thing for pain patients. GOOGLE IT! But I will be damned if i can find the info I need to help mm myself. I would really like to tell the whole pain clinic industry to kiss my fat hairy ass, I have stopped my morphine and Percocet. I am tired of being treated like drug seeking scrum. Once I get my answer, I hope to hell nobody tries what I did because I can see a bit of danger there. But really you are a big boy or girl and at this point I don't care what you do. Your believing me is irrelevant at this point. I just want to know what I want to know, and I am waving a fat juicy carrot out there to find out what I need to know. So if you don't know, sit and wait till someone who knows tells me what I want to know. Then I am going to say "you may not want to do this, but here is what I did". And if you think you can just ask a neurologist a straight question and get a straight answer, then you are an ass. I WANT TOO KNOW ABOUT D-PHENYLALANINE. If you are not careful with what I tell you and you kill yourself I don't want to be held accountable.

And spell check can kiss my ass too!

Generally we don't do trades of information here, like "I'll tell you this only if you answer this first". We are more about the free flow of info and helping each other without putting conditions on it like that.

We have a number of threads on Phenylalanine and D-Phenylalanine already - try the search function and let me know if you need help finding them; also look on Google Scholar. There have really not been a lot of quality studies done on D-Phenylalanine however.

I would proceed cautiously mixing Phenylalanine with antidepressants or stimulants. I don't really know a lot about other potential drug interactions though.

Just sent swimmingdancer everything I know. Please info on D-phenylalanine.
