Foul Smelling Burps [possible relation to opiate usage?]

About 2 years ago, when I was a tweaker, I was having a hard time digesting properly. So I drank a shot glass of bleach thinking it would clean my track out from the inside. For like a week after I had these HORRIBLE smelling burps. I pushed through it until it passed, and never repeated that mistake again.

Well I've been clean from meth for quite some time, and started doing heroin [yayyy]. And I noticed that heroin will slow down my digestion system to the point to where I won't shit for days. It's been about 3-5 days since I last took a proper shit with no problems. Though last night, the foul smelling burp returned. Mind you, I vomited yesterday, just a bit. Though hours after, was when it happened. The smell is retched. Like, it smells like a very very bad fart. Though from my mouth.

Well, I went to bed. Woke up. Went to work. If I burped it smelled bad, but not horrible. I went to taco bell, and ate taco bell, which gave me some gas. That smelt bad. Not super bad. Like a normal fart. And it also brought back the burps. Super bad. It's making my partner gag. It smells like something died. Though my farts, are nothing. I'm wondering if this is a common symptom of constant heroin usage. Or if it's related to my intestines possibly being full of shit, though not coming out due to [the best way I can describe it] is that my stomach lining isn't properly lubed up allowing the waste to properly surge through my body.

Could it be that? Or.. idk.. any other information on theories, or experiences you can share with me?

Sorry if it's confusing. It's a little hard to explain. >.>

Thank you all who reads and contributes. It's sort of freaking me out. o.O

you drank bleach???? holy shit.

is there a correlation between op8 constipation and bad smelling burps?

is it related to eating fast food?

not drinking enough water?

Could it be chronic constipation, or a bowel obstruction?
Have you been having regular bowel movements?
Blockages in the lower digestive tract can lead to vomiting faeces in some cases.

Vomiting feces? That can't be real. o.O
Idk. I took a small poop about 10 min ago, which relieved some tension in the abdominal area, and the smelling of the burps has subsided. I think I need to just start getting sick [come off of heroin] until I pretty much shit myself every 5 seconds before getting well again. Lol. I feel very bloated, and it's pretty uncomfortable.
I don't think the smell is coming from the Taco Bell, although that did play a part in my stomach cramps.
And I don't drink enough water
-glug glug glug-
wish me luck guis. Lol.

Fecal vomiting is super rare... it's one of the rarest conditions. The entire length of your intestines would have to be full of crap, and by then you'd be in so much pain and discomfort you'd probably be getting bowel surgery to remove it all.

You're likely regurgitating undigested food and/or bile. Yes, it's possible for digestion to be so slow that food sits in the lower stomach and duodenum, where it ferments in the presence of GI bacteria, and becomes foul smelling. In holistic medicine we call it food stagnation or food retention. Sometimes people get up in the morning and are still burping rotten food that they ate a day ago.

If you do a lot of drugs then your bile is going to smell and taste nasty because that's a primary route that the liver gets rid of the metabolites of drugs.

You might want to try eating more insoluble fiber, and drink more water. Sounds like things need to be cleared out. Fresh ginger chewed and taken with water can resolve old food in the stomach, as well as dried orange peel boiled for a few minutes into a strong tea. If your burps taste really sour or bitter, then you can try taking a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar with water once a day in combination with fiber to help resolve some of the grossness coming out of your gall bladder.

Another thing that you can try is taking a ferment with your food. I'm thinking sauerkraut in your case, because the alternatives are dairy (like yogurt and kefir) and that's not going to make things smell better. Sauerkraut is vegetable based, is fiber, and contains a lot of digestive enzymes which can break down the foul smelling residues in there. Fresh sprouts, like alfalfa, contain similar enzymes. Try those too.

Unfortunately, the root of this is your opiate use. It leads to slow GI motility which means things stagnate and rot more easily.
