former hydro addict now hooked on ultram and can't get high on hydro anymore! help!

okay this post might be long but I need help. For ten years I was addicted to hydrocodone taking in excess of 30 to 40 lorcets a day. Finally got clean for a few years and recently got hooked on ultram. taking up to 30 ultram a day,recently acquired a prescription for Norco 10 no matter how many or few I take I can not get high. I just feel sick can someone tell me why? This morning I tried a cold water extraction for the first time pulling all of the Tylenol out of the pills, and still can't get that warm fuzzy feeling. I can take ten ultram at a time and feel good, but I want that fuzzy feeling. What's going on?

Lost,
i took hydrocodone for over 20 years. Nowhere near your dose, but was dependent just the same. Where did you get that many pills to be able to take 30 a day. The same question about the Ultrams. How much is it costing you?
the only reason I think you may be feeling sick is mixing Ultram with hydro's might not mix well.

one time me and a friend decided to take Vicodins and go snowboarding. we were both opiate-naive.
We took 8 pills each
Turned out to be pretty much just snowboarding...

Anyways, as guidog state the two drugs do not mix well. I haven't seen any scientific proof since both can be prescribed at the same time, but then again it makes sense. I've never liked Ultram, I always had really weird side effects. But none of this is answering your question haha so back on track. What I would do is completely get the Ultram out of my system. I do not know if you can withdrawal from Ultram, if so score some benzodiazepines such as Xanax to settle the mood a bit along with immodium AD since there is small traces of opioids in immodium AD (yes has to be the AD) take at least 12 n work your way up from there until you do not feel as much w/d symptoms. This is a very odd post, from my understanding Hydrocodone is more potent than Ultram. If that still doesn't work try bumping it up to Percocet (Oxycodone w/ acetaminophen n also if these are prescribed medication).
