The main reason for doing this is so that the vein doesn't burst, from what I understand.

As long as your vein isn't swollen, it shouldn't be a problem, but don't make a habit of it.

maybe im just slow, but yo forgot to undo it b4 u shot up? so u shot up without it? (which is fine) or do u mean u forgot to take it off after u shot up right away? "forgot to undo the torinette before is shot up!" to me its saying u forgot to take the belt off ur arm before u injected any drug, so u had the tourinette on for awhile with veins popping for awhile too long before u stuck the needle in? thats sch a confusing statement to me, maybe im doing too much speed...torinette or not, shooting up is gonna fuck ur arms up no matter what in the long run

Technically, you are supposed to tie off, put rig in arm, register, TAKE OFF TIE, and then plunge.

I wouldn't worry about it--I did that all the time when I was new at it. In fact, it was standard practice for a lot of older junkies with big veins. You should loosen it, of course, but if you were using a big vein odds are you're fine.

^^^ Agreed , I used to do that when I was new to shooting up, although I don't shoot anymore, except very rarely, as my veins are pretty abused from when I would slam coke all night long and have 40 shots or more in a 8 hour period, made me feel like a human pincushion..lol

heh , thanks guys, and to clarify yeah, I tied off, pumped up, stuck, pulled back (the hardest thing to do, I did it with my mouth this time :D), and plunged, pulled out, then untied. I screwed that one up.

I used to think it was impossible to pull back and then plunge without moving the hand and then possibly pulling the needle out of the vein. Over time I developed a technique where I held it between thumb and middle finger right near the plunger when I put it in--that way I could both flag and plunge with the index finger without moving at all. My hand would rest against the forearm to keep it steady.

My fingers are pretty long though--maybe that wouldn't work for everyone.

registering without moving the needle around is hard sometimes. especially when sometimes that rubber plunger seems to adhere to the walls of the syringe and get a lil stuck.

i've never tried this and i'm not quite sure i understand what to do exactly, but i read of another poster on here quite some time ago (maybe a year or year and a half ago) that suggested using one of those metallic key rings you store your keys on to help your fingers reach easier when registering.

dude the reason you use a turnakit is so you can have better access to your veins

I remove the tourny AFter my shot.
I like it more that way and I find that the needle doesn't slip out than either.
Although,I make sure not to have it too tightly tied because I do NOT wish to burst a vein.
