I've read the posts on here about horrific experiences when combining the two, but they have been 300+ mg of each drug.

I took 150mg of buproprionXL at 11am this morning, received an avalanche of terrible news, reached for the nearest thing I had which was 2 oz of pure robo. I gulped down the 2oz around 4:30pm, and now just realized that I had taken the buproprion earlier (was just prescribed it last week).

Until recently I would trip DXM twice a week at 500-550mg, haven't for a few weeks (jail, felony for 1 gram of green). I'm wondering if there are any preventative measures I could take to somehow dilute the effects either drug? I'm already buzzing and have had heart-rate problems since jail (I weigh 110lbs, it was traumatic).

Well bupropion is a cyp2d6 inhibitor (even though it does not use that enzyme itself) which is the enzyme needed to convert DXM into DXO which is responsible for DXM's dissociative effects and most of it's good ones. Blocking the conversion of DXM to DXO more often then not results in horrible trips. So that's one thing. Bupropion does not act on serotonin much but it may interact negatively that way too because ive heard of people getting fevers and stuff from it.

I would say drink lot's of water and if you start getting any bad signs to go to the hospital if you need to. It's better then ending up dead :\

^ This.. if you are at all concerned that you are unwell, get some medical assistance. Ideally have someone with you to make sure you are okay, and keeping hydrated is always good. As PA said, bupropion is not serotonergic - or at least not a serotonin releaser or SSRI - so the risk of serotonin syndrome is low, although it's mechanism of action is a little unclear and it has been been implicated a few times, so definitely seek some help if you begin to feel at all unwell..

Good luck! <3

Thanks, I noticed practically no effects, bad or good, thank god I only had low doses available!

That is good :) really glad you are okay!

I'm going to close this now but pm me with any queries :)
