I’ve got so many problems
But then again, who doesn’t?
But this problem involves me,
My girlfriend and her cousin.
One call and the cousin ruins all-

I wish I hadn’t said anything last night at all.
People say things – mean things – things that hurt the feelings.
Things that can’t be gotten rid of – things that have no meanings.
I am sorry, I apologize, please forgive my deeds –
A problem has grown ‘tween us and I helped to sow the seeds.
I ask you to come help me cut the vines and stems of hate
That have sprouted in the midst of a relationship that’s great.

I wish I hadn’t said anything last night at all
I should have just played right along or given you a call
But I was apprehensive – you might not have answered at all.
So since I skipped the chance last night
Please allow me one more chance
To make all that is bad all right
And turn the darkness into light.
