Forgive me...I know not what I do

The pieces of your face lay broken on my bathroom floor
Please forgive me, my love.....
For I knew not what I did.
The rumors, the lies, the accusations overwhelm me
I tried to resist, I tried to rebuke the untrue meaning of their words
Yet they control me, and they made me do the terrible deed that.....
I can't forgive myself or replace you
I can't take back the evil things, the horrible actions, the sadistic response to the lies.
You were my everything and yet I let you go so easy
My life has taken another
And not only that my life has taken you.
The one pure thing in this grotesque excuse for an existence I call my life.
These changes trap my heart and torture it, breaking it
Until the pain forces it to let go
I raise the gun of revelation to my head and release its fury upon my
temple
The blackness fades into your face
And with a finale dying breathe i mutter
....
Forgive me.....for I know not what I do.

I raise the gun of revelation to my head and release its fury upon my temple

i like this line, specifically, because it really stood out in a very provocative way. overall i enjoyed the poem as well. you writing never fails to intrigue me.

I love this words and the way they flow together. The meaning behind this piece is powerful, which makes all the better.
