"Forgetting to breathe" on codeine

I can imagine that would be a scary experience when nodding out.

I've never worried about OD'ing on opiates. That would kill my high. I always take a moderate dose, basically a dose that is not too low but I "know" its not too high to OD from therefor I don't think that falling asleep is dangerous or that I'll get shallow breathing. I don't like to worry and I know my own tolerance very well. When switching onto new opiates I do a conversion from my current dose.

theres so many threads with people that are addicted to hard drugs like crack, meth and heroin... they ask for help but nobody here can help them, just stop using it,oh thats too hard to give up on that sweet high isnt it? ok,then continue but there isnt anything that would protect you from forgetting to breathe or death.

^I was making this point as well. It sounds like the OP is tolerant to all three classes of depressants (opiates included).

However, it should be stressed indeed. Without tolerance to these drugs, combining depressants and opiates is a very dangerous gamble.

I'm not tolerant to codeine at all. Only second time taking it in a month, and the first time was my first time ever.

And not that I feel the need to justify my drug use on a drug forum, but @person who was talking about hard drugs and stuff... I'm not a hard drug user haha this was the first time with anything other than weed, so no worries there man.

edit: oh and I thought it'd be good to note I wasn't combing any drugs. Last time I used marijuana was about 2 weeks prior. As charlie sheen said (lmao) some people just forgot to read the rules before the party... yea thats me, so I didn't party too hard hhhaha (as in no combining)
