Same with benefits and housing. Some people are just more deserving than others., but nationality shouldn't be a factor in deciding who is most needy. I'd rather give a deserving immigrant family a place to live rather than some self entitled Bitish fuckwit who cant hold down a job or keep his cock in his pants.
 
Ye well that’s the go to argument of the left. I say people who have paid in should be priority and you assume I mean white British people.
I’d happily have a black, Chinese,Pakistani person take priority if they or their parents have paid in to the system. Nationality of colour has nothing to do with it.
you say some are more deserving than others and I agree. A measure of who is more deserving is the amount they have paid into the system.

I never mentioned colour. You did.

I merely stated that immigrants (of any colour) can be more deserving than some British people (of any colour).

The NHS is BY FAR our most important asset. I would put funding that way above anything else, including education etc.
Who cares about the rest if you're either dead because you can't get treatment, or so sick you wish you were dead?
The NHS has saved my life (and I'm only counting the literal times here) well over a dozen times already and I'm still in my 20s. The idea of not having it terrifies me. I think a good start would be refusing service to people with self-induced conditions but only when they refuse to try to help themselves. Like no treatment for obesity-related disease (JUST obese people are crippling the NHS by themselves) if they refuse to TRY to lose weight. Or pulmonary treatment for smokers who refuse to try quitting (I'm a smoker saying this) etc.

Kind of, but as an example I have several Polish immigrant neighbours who have been awarded social housing but they work hard and are far more deserving than the Brexit voting British bulldog type neighbours that were born here but can't be arsed to work for a living yet feel they are more entitled than the immigrants.
 
What some of you lot seem to lack is the basic knowledge that "the system" is set up against the average person, it matters not who you vote for as they are all the same.

I only voted Labour as I truly felt it would cause a collapse of "the system" as we know it, Brexit had laid the cement as it has split the UK & I was hoping Labour with their agenda would finally break this country.

I went to libya to look at Roman ruins, which have since been destroyed by NATO assholes after surviving 2 world wars and 2 millenia.

Yeah you're right mate the UK never had the NHS or social care without the intervention of Brussels. The EU invented the NHS and gave us social care and worker's rights, we never took care of our people before the EU told us to.

Fuck the EU.

How do you imagine we will become a 51st state? Because Boris wants to do a trade deal with the US? But by that logic are we not merely a part of the United States of Europe right now? In fact there's more of an argument for that position because the EU is a political union that actively seeks control over every member state. There is absolutely no reason to believe the US wants the same with us except Corbyn's baseless scaremongering about "selling the NHS."

Let's just forget that the actual selling off of large parts of the NHS to the private sector was done under a decade long Labour government... or are our memories all that short already? Clearly not going off the election results. Corbyn thought he could take us for mugs bribing us with our own money and was told to piss off, not by the City boys (London is all red as per usual) but by the overwhelmingly working class constituencies all across the Midlands and the North.

And I'm sorry but anyone who thinks that Labour would "bring down the system" is deluded. Labour is part of the system and would seek to expand the control the state has over you. It's right there in Corbyn's manifesto, he wanted to nationalise everything and make many more of us dependent on the state for services, employment, and income. If that isn't the system having more control I don't know what is. I would go so far as to say socialism is slavery, because if the state controls major industries in your country you can hardly just opt-out. You can quit your job and work for another company, you can change providers when they're run by the market, but you can't just fuck off the state.
