Now, more than ever, my passion has gone.
Today I realised that I have not written anything worth reading in the last month. Today i also realised that the last two weeks of that month contained no writing at all. I feel lost, and I have no idea what to do or where to go or who to turn to. Actually, I know who I can talk to. But what else can i do? who has been through this torment before? How did you put up with it? how?
distressed...

you are not lost just on a momentary pause. I think we all get numb sometimes and the passion of life slips from us. Just know that people do care and sometimes you have to ride it through,, but don't let it go to long. sometimes i go awhile numb and not able to write. sometimes i do that in life,, i feel like i dont want to talk ,, just exist. But then someone or something comes along and your life changes to another path and you start to feel again. If you did not miss it it would be a sadder story,, but you do so it will come back to you.

hunny, i know how u feel. I often cross times like this where my pen refuses to move, where my head is just tooo damn crowded that i can't write my thoughts...its too hard to write it down, an actualy mind block, but everything is there. Relax, take a nap, and talk if u can

when my words leave me i move to painting or to something else like reading things that make me happy read naked lunch something anything find a book think about it look for you muse in other things like movies, or reading. i dunno sometimes i just loose my will to write either cuz its too painful or i feel like its nothing but shit coming out sometimes the things we most take for granted can makes us write beautiful words some time its just the sorrow we carry that makes us write. longing for things or people we miss can make us write words of devotion and love.. smoke a bowl chill a bit enjoy the break we all get writers block, well i do

Gareth,
You know how much I value your friendship. Just know one more thing....Talent doesn't just disappear. It may get dammed up now and then, but it can never truly go away.
The talent you had a month ago is still in you. Please ride out this lull and don't give up. Binkie's on to something, I think. Hike or read - do the things you used to do and don't do much anymore.
Sometimes you find inspiration in the smallest of things. It can be the flutter of a small butterfly or the hug of a cherished friend. The drive and inspiration will come back. It's still in there, just napping. Sometimes when I'm going through something stressful, it blocks my creative flow. It happens to all of us.
Know that you are in my thoughts and I can't wait to hug you so tight it takes your breath away.

PiHKAL- feel lucky that you have the gift of writing.
i'm would have to be one of the least creative people when it comes to writing and i'm extremly jealous of all you wonderfully creative people who write so damn well.
i think i must have been born with permament writers block.

Lady - I found that writing is somethaing that has to be worked at. Even when My mind was full of ideas i often coulnt get them onto paper the way I wanted them to sound. After years of writing many revisions, I am now somewhat comfortable with my style. Practice makes better i guess, there is no perfect

Gareth.

damn i know how you feel. it must be your mind is too crowded (like someone said earlier up there). what i usually do is i go on a long car ride with someone. that would get you to think, you will have more than enough time to analyze not only yourself but the things around you, and even the total strangers you come across. one thing is, do not force yourself to write. sometimes it takes a long time before you are truly inspired to start writing again. it will come ü

Right on CareSS talen tdoesn't just go away. I feel for you too. I've gone through several periods like what you described. My advice is for you to talk to the person you feel understands you best about why your depressed. He/she will certainly help to remind you who you are and why your important. If that doesn't work then please email me with your number and I'll be happy to call you and try to bring you out of this.
Rmember my fellow blueligher richierich loves you!
PEACE

Hell I feel like I have no skill every time I write something. I'm like oh god, well that was crap. And then I have long bouts of said everything I can, nothing new or innovative to say. Then all of a sudden something will pop back in. I had writers block for a year, so I know the feeling. It just comes back. Patience and alcohol.
