ok so this one is for all the bluelight parents out there. mods idk if this belonged here or the DC area. ill let u decide. ok so parents i was wondering if any breakthroughs you made in your perception, thought process, or in personality in general with lsd, shrooms, mdma, peyote, ect. carried on to how you raise your kids. do u think it made u a better parent, or worse, or no effect at all? im not really asking about descussing drugs with kids, but just raising them in general. (im not a parent yet thank god, but just curious) i think to think itll make me a better parent, because i believe its made me a bettter person in general.

Absolutely. Mescaline is an integral part of my spiritual tradition, and the medicines in combination with the spiritual philosophy has had an impact on every aspect of my experience and lifestyle. Of course it affects how I raise them.

I intend to initiate my daughter into the Native American Church and to teach her meditation and martial arts....When she reaches the appropriate age of course..

Yes, defenatelly!! I have two boys 6 and 2years!! Fantastic!!!
But I think Psychedelics specially Peyote, Shrooms and LSD in that order have mede me see all of life in a different way!!
I now see and feel my self (in a very real and consious way) as part of an enourmous incredebly precious existance which I would like to be able to teach my children to apreaciate too when the time comes, because only then they will have all the time in the world to really live and die!!

decades of consumption did nothing positive as far as raising my son . never took anything while he was being raised though .

Like anything, I think it depends on your intentions going in and what you can get from your experiences. Some people use psychedelics and never really get much out of them that lasts, whereas others really go into it with an open mind and an exploratory heart and allow the experience to catalyze changes.

Personally, I know that a lot of what I learned on psychedelics has changed me for the better, and that some of those things will help me to be a better parent when the time comes. I'm already a better parent to my kitties because of it. :) (Though I realize it's not the same)

parenting

For me I honestly couldnt imagine being a good parent if I hadnt taken psychedelics.
They really put everything in perspective straightened my priorities in life and put me where I should be. It will probably sound crazy but parenting and tripping have gone hand in hand for me. It has helped me become the father I should be and gain new appreciation for how lucky I am to have my children and be able to raise them in a loving environment.
Im a firmly devoted parent and I have many friends just like me in that respect. psychedelics have always touched close to the heart for us and nothing is closer than family. I have a 4 year old son a 6 month old daughter.
As long as you know your limits and do it sparingly tripping can be a productive thing in a persons life.
