Foolish thoughts and actions put my fate in motion
Yes, I fucked up again and I'm sorry
But all the time you thought I was loving
I was loving someone else
While pretending it was the person I was closest to
Of course I love you just not in that way
That was the way I wanted it to be
Now I'm realising the hard lessons I have to learn
The patterns are emerging yet again my friend
And I leaned on your shoulder too hard
We both fell over with a huge thump
Now that I've been honest with myself
I have come to realise that I fucked up
I made a mistake and I can never put it right
I'm left sitting here in the lamplight
With nobody to put the world to rights with
Nobody to share dreams of one day being free with
Beating myself over the head with the bad things I did
Sitting in the spot you'd normally be in
Pretending that everything's ok
That I'm mad at you
That it's All Your Fault when really I know the truth
I brought this on myself
Yet again, yet again.
