Fooling the EZ test?

I heard from some people on this board(but don't believe) that there is a chemical that bogus chemists use that elicits an MDMA test result with the EZ test but is not MDMA. Is this true or just a load of horse poopy?

There are supposedly several chemicals which can produce a similar looking result.
I have no clue what they are.

in melbourne, australia, there was a pill that was floating around that tested a typical MDxx reaction (double stacked off white picies), however the effects were clearly not that of MDxx. the pill was then tested again using the chemical generations E2 second generation test, and this test produced no reaction. the combination of the standard marquis reagent and the E2 test is apparently virutally impossible to fool, my experience testament to this.

go in the bathroom and get some toilet paper. Roll up a little ball and do the ez test. If it is paper (not synthetic)it will turn black/purple. How ez is it to fool an ez test? You have got to be careful!!! Paper won't kill you but it's just a cheap example of how easy it would be to adulterate a tab with something dangerous and have a seemingly good test reaction.

Adulterating a tab and testing some paper is something quite different. Once you've seen a proper reaction, you know what to look for in the future. Inexperienced (first time) testers might be folled somehow but again, once you've seen a proper reaction, you know what it is about. And yes, testing does not provide 100% certainty but it does _indicate_ what kind of substance is present in a pill or capsule.
