I have often wondered, but never delved into researching, whether eating whilst on/coming down from MDMA is good or bad healthwise.

Often after going to a festival and comsuming substances, I feel completely drained and feel that, despite no hunger (and a chewed up mouth), I should eat something to give my body some energy/nutrients.

But recently I've been wondering why the body doesn't send the 'hungry' signal out. Is it possibly because it is too busy dealing with the chemicals and trying to process them and get them out of the system...? and therefore it doesn't want to waste time trying to digest food?

MDMA suppresses hunger.
Maybe buy a drink with energy/nutrients in it if you feel like you need some.
Eating on MDMA sounds horrible to me.

You probably burn a lot of calories because of the amphetamine effects. I remember reading about this some time ago, but amphetamines to affect the brain's hunger regulation, but i'm not sure if the precise mechanism is known.

I try to eat a nice lunch and pre/post load on supplements, assuming I'm rolling at night.

When rolling, I totally lose appetite for a long while, usually till the next day, but I may lightly snack late late at night when coming down. Def can't hold down much.

If you can eat when your at a festival / even then do. Fruit it often easier to eat when rolling than something starchy like fries / burgers etc.

The sports drinks are also a good idea as they replace a lot of the minerals and salts used up by the body when dancing etc.

MDMA and most stimulants surpress the desire to eat due to the release of serotonin.
