I gona go out on a limb here and maybe this hasn't been discussed here, so here it is all on the table as per my knowledge....
Look I sympathize with anyone who legitimately or recreationally has to, or takes script opiates and abuses them. Whatever your reasons.... I've been there & was there for over fifteen years especially before it was considered cool like it is now. Any way here's a little info about slamming or snorting any pills and Opanas that I have not come across in any discussions. " if I've overlooked it I apoligize, & I'm only trying to inform and help only" NO judgement here."
When you crush or dissolve pills and introduce them directly into your bloodstream, not only do you get the active drug but all the other binders, chems, etc.... " that's nothing you don't already know" but I've seen a lot of dis-information about where that " other stuff " goes and yeh maybe some of it does get into you lower GI tract & other organs. But did you know that most of that other stuff in those pills are NOT water solueable. What that means is your body can neither eliminate the substances nor absorb them. Some of those chem agents end up all over your body especially in your LUNGS. There they won't go away. Moreover, your body will attack those foreign substances and keep building scar tissue. For the rest of your life. Maybe you'll be ok, but if one of those lesions ruptures eg. Pulmonary Embolism. Which more than not results in certain death. Snorting them can do the same thing. Just remember everything that goes in your veins will go through your lungs. Your lungs are NOT a filter, and will reduce in functionality when they are made to filter substances that are not intended go through them. I could elaborate more but I'm trying to keep this as short as possible. With that said....
Have they re-formulated the Opanas??? if not, About the Opana's... Which are more worse for your lungs. Those pills contain " silica" which is the most abundant mineral on earth, btw. But silica is, in its raw form, eg. "glass ". When those pills come out, the drug company thought it be a good idea to deterr people from abusing the pills by shooting or snorting them. To me that's reckless on the drug companies behalf but that I dare say would be another discussion....
Maybe somewhere in these endless discussions and threads on drugs, all I said may have been already discussed but I have yet to find it... I looked, I did I did!!! Albeit I did find similar comments about snorten pills but it was not that accurate.
