Food for thought: 3-TFM

Scary shit. The obvious metabolite of this 'benfluorex' compound is norfenfluramine, the 5-HT2B agonist that caused all of the problems with cardiac arrhythmia and pulmonary arterial hypertension. All of the mono-substituted amphetamines seem a bit sketchy to me, considering their serotonergic cardio- and neurotoxic effects.
I would bet that 3-TFM-MA itself is nearly identical in effect to fenfluramine (3-TFM-EA), maybe a tad more stimulating, but just as dangerous if taken chronically.

So your pulmonary blood pressure only ends up at about 20 atmospheres as opposed to 25 with fenfluramine.
You don't need a chronic dosing regeime with 5HT2b agonists to put yourself in danger - that's why fenfluramine was withdrawn.
Personally, I'd go for stims that only have significant effects on the catecholamine neurotransmitters and very little on serotonin/5HT

I really haven't found (d)-amphetamine to be 'horrendous' with chronic therapeutic-level dosing, just the opposite, in fact. But F&B is right, fucking with a serotonergic amphetamine is asking for trouble.

I don't think you can extract a whole lot about 3-TFMA from Benfluorex, anyway. There's so much extra cabbage.
Ring substituted amphetamines seem to always be a bit (or more) of a letdown.

The effects of 3-chloro, 3-bromo, 3-iodo, 3-trifluoromethyl, 3-methyl, 3-ethyl, 3-methoxy or 3-ethoxy amphetamine and methamphetamine seem to be unknown (to the general public anyway).
Personally, I would love to know more about them.

I wasn't talking about making 3-TFM-MA from benzfluorex.... I was just talking about 3-subs on amp and meth.
I didn't say you were talking about using it as a precursor, but rather to extract some sort of idea about TFM-MA/TFM-A from benzfluorex, which I just don't think you can do.
There's too much extra cabbage, as I said.

Studies (one from the early 1980s) have shown 3-MeO-A to be active in test animals but with a unique range of effects as when compared to AMP or MDA as measured in nM.
I *may* have tried 3-MeO-MA once but can't be sure because I didn't make it. I was awake for 6 days and would gladly repeat the experience. Regular MA rarely keeps me up for more than 3 nights in a row. There was no fatigue and little psychotic symptoms save for aggressive behavior on day 5. Mydriasis was marked.
