Focalin vs adderall

Which do you guys prefer? I have ADHD and I currently take focalin xr and I use it to get high sometimes but I recently tried adderall xr and I liked it a lot but I'm not sure if I should get switched to it. Which do u prefer to get high?
 
It's hard to say because different people prefer different things. I can't take any methylphenidate-ish medication because it makes me angry. Not to mention those types of medications have never given me euphoria. On the other hand amphetamine medication have given me euphoria at times, but I'm just one person. That being said most people I know prefer amphetamines, namely Adderall. I take Vyvanse daily and it works well for me and I rarely feel the need to take more than I'm prescribed. I'd advise Vyvanse over Adderall XR every day, but it's your choice.
 
I've never had Focalin but seeing as it's dexmethylphenidate, I think I can assume it's functionally quite close to racemic methylphenidate (Ritalin, Concerta).

I've only had Adderall once but seeing as it's 75% dexamphetamine (which is by far the superior isomer), at least I would go for it without question. I've had racemic amphetamine and Dexedrine (pure dexamphetamine, Adderall has 25% levoamphetamine) and for both functional, therapeutic purposes and recreational highs they are far superior, both in my book and according to everyone I know.

That said, I don't find either methylphenidate or amphetamines in general to be highly recreational. High doses are slightly recreational but not worth it in my book for the side effects.
 
What is Focalin like for you?

I've taken Ritalin IR (instant release), Ritalin ER (Extended-release, AKA Concerta), Dexedrine, and Adderall for ADD. Not all at once though and I never took more than 15mg. I found that the Ritalin IR/ER both had far less negative side effects for me than Adderall and Dexedrine did; but I only got those if I hadn't taken the Adderall or Dexedrine at all like when I was prescribed them I would go for months without taking them if I was not in school.
 
Focalin is pretty good, it's like Ritalin without as many side effects, stronger also, think 2x more strong. I was first put on Focalin then adderall about 5 years ago for ADD. A way to compare it maybe to amphetimines is Focalin is like Dexidrine and Adderall is like Ritalin. Focalin is the D-isomer or something so it's cleaner than Ritalin, like Dex is cleaner than Adderall
 
most definitely focalin. the crash is way less intense in my opinion than adderall and the euphoria experienced from it is definitely more pleasurable. Its more like cocaine than an ADHD med in my experience with both coke and stimulants

Completely agree.. Prescription cocain.. I mix it with oxys and Opana before snorting.. I do not recommend this, but it is a great party buzz.
