Focalin: snort or swallow?

I got a 10 mg focalin off somebody for free. I know it probably won't do much, but whatever. Would it be best to swallow it normally or take the powder from the capsule and snort it?
 
i would snort it if i were you. i find methylphenidate to be about twice as strong when i snort it comapred to oral use. but the duration is much shorter though, so its really a toss up.

i am prescribed 20mg focalin pills for my ADD
i usually (start small kids) crush up about 60mg worth and snort
WARNING: make sure what your snorting is pure powder
if not can cause nosebleeds and dont snort to hard it will end up in your lungs

for a first time user, 60 mgs is way too much. Id suggest around fifteen to thirty mg initially, then see how you feel. also, if you use it recreationally, make sure you can also get ahold of benzos or some sort of downer, as it makes the come-down much more tolerable. I'm a big time foc lover, have a good amount of tolerence and railing 60 mgs would get me moderately intoxicated.
 
Snort definitely; the oral high to me is basically an hour of barely above baseline stimulation and several hours of crashing like 9/11.
I did 90mg my first time, yes snorted, and wow.... I was tweaking like fuck for hours, I really don't suggest starting that high without some prior stimulant experience.
If you do; prepare to crash. Hard.
 
How is Focalin different to Ritalin? Are they just different brands or is there some sort of difference as with Vyannese?
 
To my knowledge, focalin is just the revised version of ritalin and less amphetamine-ish. I much prefer focalin than ritalin personally.

When I first started using foc, the general high was moderate and the come-down was nonexistant. Now when I blow focalin the high is instant and powerful, the come-down is horriffic without proper planning (eating benzos/opiates halfway through). But with proper planning and doseage i would prefer focalin to any other upper, including coke.

I agree with you especially the last part. Most people havent discovered that yet.=D
 
That was the first drug i ever did. I was 13 and it was my prescription, i snorted it. Wasn't fun but deff got me high. I tried it again when I was 17 after using ritalin sometimes. It was pretty fun. I snorted it.
 
Bioavailablity statistics would suggest nasal administration to be a much more efficient method.
And this is personally the only way i would ever recommend ingesting this particular substance.

Depending on several factors one of these being your previous experience with other stimulants and your body weight this should be about the lowest dose to really be able to provide any desirable effects

- Also be sure to finely crush those beads inside or it's not worth snorting
 
okay so i usually do no rail things and am normally a opiate person, but was prescribed focalin (the regular kind) 10mg x60 as needed for help studying. well i was getting really sleepy tonight but really need to stay up so i decided to try snorting it. WOW! i felt it fully in less than a minute. the euphoria is nice, but i already have panic disorder and don't enjoy the shortness of breath and increased anxiety so i doubt i will do it again. i have plenty of benzos at my disposable (ativan 2s, kpin wafers 1s, and tranxene 15s plus lortab10s). i wonder if maybe a klonopin will tone down the anx? the tranxene makes me too sleepy. ativan is a better benzo for me but will it cancel out the effects of the stimulant. like i said, i don't do uppers so i don't know if it will help or hurt it.?

i agree with the statement above though. don't want to make a habit of it and destroy my nose. though it's a nice feeling, it's not something i feel the need to keep doing.
