Benzos FML…need benzos but psychiatrist very conservative…

Like she will only prescribe me 0.5 mg of Ativan when I honestly need something stronger and longer acting.

Something really bad recently happened…and I am trying to deal with it but I still have moments where I panic…

I don’t want to become addicted to them and I use them responsibly but I am afraid if I ask for something like Valium she will just say no…

I don’t ask for early refills or anything like that…like IDK what to do…

Sounds rough.

I guess all you can do is try and present your reasoning for needing something else. If your meds aren't working there's no shame in asking for something else. Better to get legit script than self medicate. Ask for second opinion or get someone else to go along with you and advocate for you. If you need em you need em. Especially if it's just to get you through a rough patch.

There are many effective pro-GABA sedatives which are often overlooked. They will also potentiate benzos like Ativan. They're pretty cheap too.

• linalool
• nerolidol
• phytol (technically a GABA reuptake inhibitor)
• myrcene
• niacinamide (low-dose)
• theanine
• agmatine
• cannabigerol
• palmitoylethanolamide
• magnolol/honokiol

A good combination of these will outperform benzos imo and won't cause any withdrawals which is a major advantage.

if a doctor is going to prescribe narcotics they will gladly do it on the first visit and give you what you want. doctors that hesitate like this are a waste of time trying to finesse them.

this doctor will never prescribe shit. some of them don’t give a fuck and simply will just let patients rot because they have been brainwashed and also traumatized by the dea

use the fact that you’ve already got this ativan prescription to grandfather you into a benzo script with the new doctor but just say it helps but the doctor you have sucks and you are still not as functional as you need to be.

ride that line between benzos having efficacy but you’re still struggling.

You don't ask, you don't get. I would explain your situation, and how the low-dose Ativan isn't helping you and ask if they can either prescribe something stronger/longer-lasting (or at the very least increase your dose).

Valium isnt that bad to be honest.

And a nice easy up and easy down due to the long half life and metabolites.

If you don't abuse it.

Otherwise I've heard of people overdoing it and due to long half life it slowly builds up in the body and can cause outbursts of benzo rage.

It works but less is definitely more. In a way.

I've never taken any of them to my knowledge. Always tried to source proper products even if means paying a little more.

Read the stories about phenazepam. Sounds ridiculous. Why would you do that to yourself I wonder?

Problem was the dumbass who gave them to me mislabeled them so I thought I was taking bromozolam and took the the clams and took like 4 them. After I got to fucked up to function I probably took more.

My original cool European male doc retired after 30 years and sold his practice roster to some young uptight bitch ass China man who gave me nothing but headaches, so I dropped him within the month, and my new doc is amazing

When your medical history backs you up, and shows long term treatment of various controlled substances it’s nearly a green light pass to continue treatment with endless repeats/new scripts

Kindly ask for a referral to a specialist and have that bitch ass doc forward your entire medical history file to the specialist (which they might be privi to anyhow) …if this doesn’t work out seek another family physician and have you med files transferred (which that btch ass doc will probably charge you for, which they might charge you $50-100 bucks avge for, but pay it once you’re accepted as a new patient when new doc agrees to continue you’re current treatment which works for you.

I know…it’s such a freaking headache and jumping through hoops
