Fluoxetine (Prozac) for post-MDMA neuroprotection?

So I know the idea of taking an SSRI (usually fluoxetine) a few hours after consuming MDMA in hopes of gaining some neuroprotection is not a new one. I've actually researched it quite a bit.. but it seems I only continue to run in circles, with people and studies seemingly disagreeing with each other.

So I have a few main questions, mainly I'm trying to determine if there is actually a consensus on this subject..

1) Does this actually work? Is it scientifically sound? (if anyone had links to strong studies, that would be much appreciated)

2) What are the risks of serotonin syndrome from taking an SSRI 4-5 hours after consuming MDMA?

3) If fluoxetine were to be consumed in this manner, what would an appropriate mg/kg dose be?

thanks!

1) No it would not work. SSRIs do not work instantly, at least Prozac doesnt. I was on Prozac for 1.5 years. I didnt notice any effects from it until after a little over a month of starting it.

2) Theres risks to taking any sort of drug. You really shouldnt be taking any SSRIs or prescription drugs if theyre not prescribed to you. As far as serotonin syndrome risks, little to none since I was abusing MDMA for the last 4 months of my Prozac treatment. As far as I know, only a higher risk of seizures.

3) It most likely wont work so this doesnt matter much. To be honest, I wouldnt know how to answer this anyway. The dosage I was on was 10mg for 6 months and got bumped up to 20mg for a year and I weighed 60kg.

Hopefully this helps.
