I still believe it has potential, but IME Mexazolam has far, far lesser abuse potential.
Makes sense - a prodrug of delorazepam.
We just bought delorazepam (as a precursor thus legally) and N-methylated the amide.
I found a really neat trick with TMAF with N-methylates any benzodiazepine with a primary amide moiety. So I'm prepared to accept we maybe jumped at it since it was so simple (and seemed to work).
But we honestly did do the whole cohort study thing and it worked. Even blunted the effects of other benzos so people wouldn't stray.
