Aww... Shrew, Lauderdale isn't that bad. Haven't we had some awesome times in this town? :) Why does everyone hate on Fort Lauderdale? I must be a freak of nature, 'cause I love it here. It has to be the beach and the Atlantic Ocean that make me want to stay here. Not to mention being so close to Miami. Although, the Gulf-Coast of Florida is far more beautiful in my opinion, I have to admit I enjoy SFL... there's just more to do over here.
 
Most people's impression of FTL is from the Las Olas area...i.e. tourist trap. FTL isn't bad in some respects, but is horrid in others. Perspective counts, too. If you live in Miami why bother going to FTL? However, if you live in Orlando, by all means, go to FTL.
 
yeah really...why do people hate on ftl so much?...i came from the middle of a fucking cornfield in indiana and moving to around ftl was the brightest thing I ever did

Hrm with my recent decision to move to Seattle, I dropped most of my sheisty, shady, selfish friends (nyuk nyuk) but now Im not going until December 27th... So im stuck in margate florida, minus the old drama I was dealing with, but now floating... i still like steak and shake though

There are alot of shnazzy places to fart around at in Ft. Lauderdale if you look. and speaking of movies the gateway theater always has really good movies. I like ft. lauderdale a hell of alot better than say... south beach, but then I hate the kinda people that have a tendency to gather around there.

XiolaBleu, you sure as hell won't find a Steak n' Shake here in WA, so enjoy it while you can. At least you're moving to the better side of the state. My ass got sent by Uncle Sam from Gainesville to Spokane. :(
Btw, I'd like to give you an early welcome to the Pacific Northwest. :D
 
I've lived in Tampa my whole freakin life but don't know the scene here. Any help out there of where to go? I know the default Ybor places...
 
Hi, I'm Jodie (or Jo to my friends). Staying in Tampa bay which sucks because I dont have a car yet and just moved here this summer > :( Anyone friendly out there who shares my common interests?? Techno (almost all kinds), partying and concerts. I'm fun to hang with, fairly smart imho , and a cutie from what I hear (so I doubt anyone will barf when they meet me lol) am 18 and female. I dont discriminate on age, race, sexual orientation, occupation, or any other stupid stigma. Just looking for cool people to chill with.
