Floating on nothing

I love to watch you
While we're soaring
So high above the ground
Floating on nothing
But purest bliss
Shattered lights dance
Far below us
In the dim twilight
Last rays vanishing
From an inky sky
Gold fingertips withdrawing
To which we turn
Gazing on with wonder
And the earth's siren song
Comes for us
Till we're drawn up
Into the stars to spin
Ethereal
For a thousand nights
Then we plunge
Hearts in our mouths
Wind tearing breath
Eyes wide
As the beauty rises
To meet us
Gliding once more
Dandelion blossom
On a summers night
