Flight MH370: Where the FUCK is that plane?

I seriously dont buy it. The planes dived into their targets, the time to make those calls was very, very short & probably, the speed of the planes would have negated the advantage of lower height.

The story is of the cell phone calls comes from the Shanksville flight, which was never low enough, early on enough, for calls to have been made. It's simply incredible.

So, how come those people tackled the hi-jackers on Sept 11th because they had made & recieved "cell" phone-calls in-flight, when such a thing is still impossible over a decade later? That information is in the official 9/11 Report. How can that be?

Actually, the fella who initially claimed he received phone calls from his wife backtracked repeatedly when presented with evidence that actually that wouldn't be possible. First he switched to it being one of those satellite phones on the back of the seat (none of the planes involved had those phones) and then kinda muttered summat about must've been thinking of something else. It's just become part of the lore cos it helps fit the desired narrative. He retracted he's statements regarding receiving any phone calls years back but it doesn't stop them being echoed and repeated by other folk. Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth and all that.

Haven't relatives of the folk on the missing plane been claiming they've been getting through on mobiles but nobody's answering?

It does seem strange that they can't track a plane at 30,000 feet or make contact.
I was watching a programme this week where astronauts on the International Space Station were making Skype video phone calls to their wives at home in America.

The ISS has dedicated links to the ground. Planes don't. From what I heard it was simply not close enough to any ground radar station to show up on radar. Although SHM's map does seem to go against that theory. Then again, transponder switched off so I guess they just wouldn't be looking for it and it wouldn't be shouting 'Hello! Here I am!!!" constantly either.

Apparently this is due to the way that some mobile networks work, you'll hear a dial tone whilst the network is searching for the phone. Dawned if I can find where I read that now though.

It's Asia. Eventually it will be discovered that someone dropped the ball and then lied to save face.

The most telling info about the situation is the Malaysian government's inconsistent info releases and intransigence. International investigators have had a hard time getting them to cooperate transparently. They know something and aren't spilling.

Believing in ET and cloaking devices would really serve the humans who fucked up royal. With full fuel and plenty of escape points, there are really only two explanations: human error or something wildly conspiratorial. Now think about which one it tends to be like 99.98% of the time.

On the topic of why the plane was taken to 40000+ft, I heard a theory that the oxygen deployed to the passengers would last only a fraction as long as that deployed to the cockpit in this particular plane. So going this high would be an effective way to swiftly kill the passengers.

I've been obsessed with this for a few days now, and I think that I'm going to go with hijacking/ransom as an inside job. I think that at least one of the pilots was working with at least one person on the ground to execute a bomb threat (or maybe a high altitude threat?) in exchange for money moved to bank accounts, left on a South Pacific island, or whatever. Perhaps what the Malaysian government is being so secretive about is that it gave into the ransom demand and the people got away with the money. It would benefit both the ransom demanders and the Malaysians if things were kept hush-hush. It even could be that this was executed to have a lot of misdirection and speculation so that they could better get away before it inevitably came out. Maybe the passengers are still alive somewhere and the pilot(s)/etc are pulling a "half now, half later" thing with the money, releasing the passengers once they are absolutely lost and with the complete loot.

Or maybe I'm too familiar with the DB Cooper case (which I 99% believe was carried out successfully and the guy lived on). But it's obvious that it wasn't simply a plane crash, and I think that there really is no second-best theory. So this is what I am going with among the tin foil.

Well, if history is anything to go by that would be the conspiratorial stuff. ET and stargates are a bit of a longshot admittedly. I tend to (somewhat reluctantly) go with something broadly along the lines Red describes. Does seem a lil odd that there's been no publicity of any ransom demands, mind. That and surely you only get yer ransom if you actually return plane and passengers alive and intact. The other main theory - suicidal pilot - just makes no real sense to me. Not given all the faffing involved after breaking contact anyway.

For whatever reason, the demanders could have written a no-publicity clause into the ransom demand. And ya, they would just be buying time for whatever reason, to answer for why the people aren't publically safe yet. Beyond this, it would be purely guesswork.

Malaysian shiftiness would make sense if they'd coughed up for a ransom only to get a load of dead passengers in return. Although surely they must know that anything like that's gonna come out sooner rather than later and really is not gonna look good. Can't really think what else would make much sense though. Tis an odd thing and no mistake.

Then why not a complete news black out ?

or if it was too late for that create a cover story that didn't make them look such utter fuck ups ?

It seems a very risky way to try and make money, even if millions are involved....

Anything yet been confirmed?

I've read just about every single possible theory as to what happened to this plane.
Too many to mention.

On the topic of why the plane was taken to 40000+ft, I heard a theory that the oxygen deployed to the passengers would last only a fraction as long as that deployed to the cockpit in this particular plane. So going this high would be an effective way to swiftly kill the passengers.

I think the cruising altitude of the plane is around the 40,000ft mark, plus in a pressurised environment which is what exists in a passenger plane why would they 'run out of oxygen' when it is constantly recycled throughout the flight? It would take decompression of the aircraft for there to be no oxygen, such as a hole in the fuselage, or a broken window or something of that manner.

^ From what I just found, the normal cruising altitude for the 777 is 30,000-40,000ft. This date indicated that it went up to 45,000ft, though the data may or may not be accurate.

NY TIMES said:
An Asia-based pilot of a Boeing 777-200, who asked not to be identified because he was not authorized to speak to reporters, said an ascent above the plane’s service limit of 43,100 feet, along with a depressurized cabin, could have rendered the passengers and crew unconscious, and could be a deliberate maneuver by a pilot or a hijacker.

Another source I read (but cannot find at the moment) said that at such a height, oxygen masks would be released for the passengers. The oxygen given to the cockpit, though, was I guess from tanks with a longer duration than the passenger section. So the idea would be to fly at such a height long enough that the passenger supplemental oxygen runs out, but the cockpit oxygen does not. The passengers succumb to hypoxia. Just a theory, I see nothing to suggest that the plane was at this height for long enough of a time.

Aircraft are pressurised regardless of the height, they are a contained system. The oxygen masks are only deployed when there is a decompression, an example being if a window blew out and all of the oxygen swiftly left the plane meaning the only way of breathing would be through a mask.

Okay, ya now that I think about it, what the other source said about the cockpit oxygen wouldn't really make any sense, as any hijacker attempt to decompress the cabin would leave the cockpit pressurized (and thus no need for pilot oxygen), right? So the point about needing a high altitude to kill the passengers isn't really relevant, because they could just sabotage the cabin at any height and the people would be doomed....

Here is an interesting thread about possible scenarios involving depressurization and whatnot. What still would bother me, though, is the whole "goodnight" message after the thing had been switched off.

This definitely seems to me like an intentional thing, be it a hijack or nefarious diversion. A jet plane is a little large for a disappearing act.
Some have suggested a "missing plane" serves as a great distraction from the Second Cold War currently brewing, don the tin foil, boys!

Apparently this is due to the way that some mobile networks work, you'll hear a dial tone whilst the network is searching for the phone. Dawned if I can find where I read that now though.
The old mechanical exchanges worked by passing the actual pulsed alternating current from the ringing generator through the caller's receiver, the electromechanical switching apparatus in the exchange, the recipient's bell and back to the ringing generator, all in one circuit; so your speaker cone in your receiver moves in and out in perfect sympathy with their clapper striking the two bell gongs in their phone. It could hardly be any other way, when the same pair of wires are used to provide power, audio in both directions and signalling.

This gives you useful feedback, so it was decided to emulate the same behaviour on more complex systems, e,g. where wireless links or analogue to digital conversion are in use (because it's not just one simple circuit with the ringing generator and the two phones anymore; there are now at least two separate "circuits", for audio upstream and downstream, and probably another for signalling). You can be hearing "ringing out tone" in your receiver; but, despite the strong cultural association, it does not necessarily mean that anything is happening at the other end.

On a digital phone system, each call uses two separate channels: a "B channel" carrying the zeros and ones that make up the sound, and a "D channel" that is used purely for requesting and receiving information about the status of a call. For instance, when you dial a number on a mobile or VoIP phone, it sends a message down the D channel to the exchange requesting for a call to be set up. The exchange then returns a message down the D channel saying either that it is trying to contact the destination, or that it can't proceed for some reason e.g. their phone is busy, there is no subscriber associated with the dialled number, you are calling anonymously but the recipient does not appreciate the telephonical equivalent of being jumped from behind by a masked stranger, there are no spare radio frequencies to establish a B channel with the base station, you have run out of credit, or whatever; and the caller's phone will generate a ringing-out or busy tone locally. (Anything more complex, such as an announcement that you need to make a top-up and offering the ability to do so now, requires opening a B channel between phone and exchange.) Sometimes, the caller's phone will get no message back from the exchange, but start generating a ringing-out tone anyway while it repeats its request for a status update; and this can cause a sudden switch from ringing-out to busy tone, if the message comes back that the recipient's phone is in use. It is only when the recipient actually answers their phone that a full end-to-end, two-way audio connection is established. Prior to then, everything has just been messages on the D channel. (Of course, if the recipient's phone is a two-wire analogue land line phone, this will still use an alternating current to ring the bell and pairs of tones or series of brief interruptions of the line to indicate dialled digits. The exchange will translate between such "in-band signalling" as it is known, and D channel messages, seamlessly from the point of view of the user.)

tl;dr -- see the bit in purple.

The most telling info is the plane's elaborate avoidance of civilian radar at key moments. And Mr Shah's home-built 777 flight simulator (why does a pilot with 18000 hrs experience need one of those if not to test out certain 'scenarios'?). And the rather heavily armed warships America has sent on a 'SAR' mission.

I'm quite looking forward to the denouement of this. Because I'm convinced its conspiracy, even if only conspiracy gone wrong.
