Flexeril...first time...horrible stuff

I've read over and over that Flexeril has no recreational use. There were a few reports on Erowid that were positive, and I had a few that had been laying around for months. Being someone who has to try everything once, I crushed 2 of them up, added a little water, and swallowed it down. Total dose was 20 mg.

About 10 minutes in, I started to get a headache. This grew till around the 20 minute mark, then suddenly went away. At this point I was feeling a little relaxed, but nothing major. I went to take a shower thinking that the relaxing feeling of the shower in combination with the muscle relaxer might feel nice.

While in the shower, I did feel a little bit of a head change. I felt a bit dreamy and everything seemed a little surreal. Nothing great, and not what I would call a positive effect or a high. After the shower, I got dressed and sat down at the computer to read over a few different forums. At this point a certain laziness set in that made me feel like I just couldn't move. I fell asleep for maybe 10 minutes while sitting there. I was just incredibly tired and I lacked motivation to move an inch. I had told my girlfriend that I would be driving over to her place that evening, so eventually I built up enough motivation to move. I got in the car and was not feeling fucked up at all really, just kinda relaxed and very tired. No problems driving.

I got to my girlfriends place in about 20 minutes. At this point it all hit me. I thought that was kind of strange since I had taken the dose more than an hour ago. I got so tired I basically became a walking zombie. If I sat down for more than 2 minutes, I was out like a light. I was absolutely glued to the reclining chair I sat down in. This stuff redefines the meaning of couchlock. I sat in that chair going in and out of sleep for about 4 hours. I would wake up here and there, and I had no idea what was really going on when I did wake up. It was like I took some serious sleeping pills. I would always fall back asleep within minutes, if not seconds. There was one strange effect I noticed. It was like restless leg syndrome, but it was in my arms. It was really wierd, and was responsible for waking me up several times. I just got this intense antsy feeling in my arms and had to move them. Eventually I went to bed when my girlfriend basically had to drag me out of the chair. I slept all night, and am feeling alot better this morning.

So I guess I just re-confirmed what everyone else on this forum has said. This stuff is pretty nasty. Stay away unless you are trying to get 12+ hours of sleep or seriously enjoy feeling like a narcoleptic.

Flexoral, as with most pain pills, are a sad excuse for pain relief. They aren't everything, either.

They aren't really pain pills. Flexeril is a skeletal muscle relaxer.

The only muscle relaxer with any rec. value, IMO, is soma, and that's debatable.

I'll only take flexeral if I can't fall asleep and have nothing else. It makes my knees weak and my brain ssssllllooooowwwwww down.

flexeril made my stomach hurt when i took them.. soma's on the other hand, i really enjoyed..

Has it occurred to you how lucky you are that you arrived before the drug hit full-on? I shudder to think what the result would have been if you'd been driving at that moment!

It is irresponsible to drive a car on drugs - and even more so when one has absolutely no knowledge of how that drug will effect them. Don't do it.

Yeah, I took a couple of these at school during my pill-popping days sophomore/junior year, and slept right through a couple of bells.

And I agree with djfriendly..don't fucking drive on drugs when you have no idea how they will affect you.

I totally agree that driving was dangerous, but I expected that the drug would have fully hit me by the one hour mark. I drove because I figured that it woundn't get more intense after that point.

A coworker of mine when I was in highschool had a perscription of Flexeril and she used to give it to me at work. Nice way to pass out during your lunch break and have jelly-limbs, but not so recreational.

A good rule of thumb is that if you're told a drug has no recreational value, chances are it has no recreational value. Although many of us, including myself, have to learn about everything first hand.

I also find flexeril to be an immensely boring drug. The only people I've ever known who liked it were those who had some serious problems with themselves and could not stand to be sober. Hell, it doesn't even make you altered mentally other than being sluggish, and there's no euphoria of any kind. Not even close.

I found flexeril to be helpful only in the case of withdrawls. It's great for muscle cramps and insomnia.

I agree. I would even say it seemed to be dysphoric.

Okay, muscle relaxers are not everything. :)

Dude... Seriously; shut the HELL up!

I'm not sure what your goal is, but your inane off topic non-contibutive posts just make me NOT want to do psychedelics.

One more thing: The sig line that you use devoid of meaning.

moron.
