flexeril and tramdol

can i mix these too safely, I am prescribed Tramadol for pain, and i just got Flexeril from my muscular skeletal dr. Increased seizures?
 
I would definitely not mix the two. Flexeril on its own lowers the seizure threshold, as does Tramadol. Taking two drugs which lowers the seizure threshold can have a multiplied effect (opposed to cumulative) and can lead to bad things.

IMO, I wouldn't touch the combo. I'd try a muscle relaxant such as Skelaxin with Tramadol, but defintely not Flexeril or Soma.

hmmm, i wonder what to do then, back to medicine dr. I had baclofen and it worked OK, flex is way better but now back to the dr for ther tramadol replacement

what other painkillers would work good with flexiril that doesnt affect seizure threshhold

Essentially, any. If you have a choice, get Vicodin (hydrocodone). You'll get better pain relief, and it can be combo'd quite easily with Flexeril. Just be careful of over-sedation, etc. Go easy on the combo.

But I was prescribed Oxycodone and Carisoprodol (soma) + Lyrica, to be taken concurrently, for years. (hot damn those were the good ol' days)
 
Tolerance to flexeril happens quickly but if you are not used to it, it can knock you down hard. As with any drug combo, one must be careful, neh?
 
yeah i took 10mg and it DID nothing as far as making me tired. IT works ok, but I heard anything over 2 weeks with using it, its not good anymore, dont know why these dr's would allow this cocktail of threatning issues
