[ Ultra Music Festival 7 ]

Hey I'm really excited that ultra is comming back to South FLorida... actually I have been thinking about ULTRA since the beginning of the year... I Got my tickets really early, about a month ago and I cannot wait to go there!!!

Now I wanted to know who else is going!? is anyone else comming!? anyone excited? any stories about previous ultra experiences?!??

I'm going, and it's going to be my very first ultra...in fact, it's going to be the first time that I go to anything resembling a rave. I'm ultra psyched!
 
My boyfriend and I are going and a friend we met at Ultra last year is flying down from Chicago to go with us. This will be our 4th Ultra and we are super excited. I've been thinking about it since the beginning of the year too. We're from Jax. Where are you coming from?

My Review:

I had a better party than last year. I mostly stayed away from the amphitheater because the same idiot kept shouting 'WAZZUP MIAMI, MAKE SUM NOIZE!!!" So I found the great parties going down for Timo Maas, Carl Cox, Sander Kleinenberg, Pete Tong.

Infected Mushroom (the Band that used to be a psy-trance duo) did a great job. Moby gave us a rather lame retrospective act (Go? Play? Honey???). Rabbit freaked us out with a faked Swat team shutdown of the party!! (murmurs in the crowd 'I think this might be for real'. Rabbit made the bad policemen go away. Go Rabbit. You'll be my one phone call from now on.)

Fresh mango and meat on a stick. Long walks in the streets because of taxi shortages.

Good times. See you all next year.

Imagine if it was for real?? Some people paid $68.00 to get in and some paid $200-$300.00 just for VIP :|
 
Water..................

There was no running water ANYWHERE at Ultra....... not even in the bathroom... just port o lets.

If you wanted to drink ANYTHING it was $5 a pop.... fucking bastards, they wouldn't even let you bring stuff in.

I was working the DanceSafe booth a while, we weren't allowed to give people water.

On the up side, I saw a few great acts, Carl Cox was great, Tiesto went off, and Moby put on a really spectacular show. But was it worth $83 at the door? I'm not so sure...

Also the afterparty with Sasha and Digweed was cool... literally in the American Airlines auditorium... so cold that it was almost unbearable. I talked to a lot of people who felt the same way.

Please read my comments on Ultra in the other Miami thread.

I paid $83 at the door. There was no water anywhere to be found! Unless you bought a bottle for $5.
 
I have to say that Oakenfold put on an amazing show just as the sun was going down....It made the whole thing worth it....even without running water ;) Timo Maas was great too...It was my first time hearing him spin. Overall, I had a great time. It was my 6th Ultra and I'll definitely be there again next year =D
