First timer with OC 80 ....

Oxy Newbie

Here is what I suggest doing for your first time taking oxycontin. First, there is a coating which you will most likely want to remove the outer coating. I usually plug my sink, then start the faucet and rub the coating off all the way. Since it is your first time, I would cut the pill into 4 equal parts, 20mg each. With no tolerance to oxycodone I would suggest cutting one of the 1/4ths in half and start with 10mg, possibly 15mg. You can do all this by estimating just make sure you never take too much, go in small increments to test your tolerance. Better safe than sorry. =D

yea my point bringing that up is if the ld50 for it is decently high, anything under it - even if it does cause you to OD , wouldnt result in death. and the main fear about overdosing is that whole "dying" thing aint it.
 
^ The dose that kills 50% of mice or rats (LD50) for a given drug doesn't always match for humans. Personally I wouldn't want to take anything close to the LD50 of any drug.

I agree that oxy is very safe when you take a normal dose that doesn't exceed your tolerance by too much. 80mg or more at once is probably enough to kill a completely non tolerant user.

You seem to miss the point of what LD-50 is. To say that "anything under it wouldn't result in death is hideously incorrect and ignorant. By the time you reach that dose, 50% of the people have died already.
 
Yo, my bad it was extremely hard to explain what i was tryna say the past couple times i was a lil.....not sober......

My basic point is that well, all that other crap aside, a dose of oxycontin that aint obscenely high wont kill you, or make you overdose, or make you have a overdose that kills you.

All i was really tryna say is that, PROBABLY, if you aint freakishly small, or have some crazy obscure allergy or something, and all you have to work with is 80 mg of oxy, that it wont be enough to be toxic and make you die. pretty simple, and i effed up my point by sayin all that other shit.

I aint gonna say it wont make you OD cuz ive heard of stranger things. but i think its pretty safe to assume that the "danger zone" of oxycontin, to a average size huiman (wahtever that is) is far above 80mg.

Sorry bout all that like i said. hope it makes more sense now. 100% medically correct, i dont know, but sense-making, hopefully. :) thats just my 2 cents, prolly worth less than 2. ill shut up now. ;)
 
I dunno dude, I think someone thats never done any pain killers, and snorts a whole 80mg, could very well die.

I know my first time I did 40 and I felt like hell.

lol, i remember when i took a break from oc for a while, and i normally do 40's, so after like 2 weeks, i go blow an 80... rocked my freaking world :p
its was awesome :D
a little naseous, but other than that, it was amazing :p

and really, the interesting thing i've found with oc, is that, no matter how much you take (as long as its at least 15-20), the feelings really the same, it just, stays longer when you take a larger dose... kinda nice.. fun to play around with too.

I agree totally with this...
I mean, im not a doctor, and I don't know exactly how much would cause an OD, but holy shit dude, if 80 mg with no tolerence didn't KILL you, you'd still be majorly fucked up. In both senses of the word, high as hell, and pretty much fucked

this is simply not true, oxycodone is actually a drug with no ceiling, the more you take, the higher you will get.

its just hard to notice a difference between 15-20mg.

it seems variable as to the effects

one time with no tolerance i did 60mg and had the time of my life. I tried that again 3 weeks later and it was my worst oxy experience ever. Since then I haven't gone above 30 (just seems to increase the side effects) smoke some dope to make it more powerful.

Oh well, i think the advice in here is pretty straight, some peopel think "heyyy fuck it" some people think "only do one microscopic 0.05mg grain of OC at a time so everything is totally in your control"

as a first time user i prolly woulda done the whole 80 that night but thats me. To be reasonable I think that 40mg is a perfect dose for someones first time.

It will be more than you need to "get there" no doubt. you would prolly get off at 20mg. but you might as well go for the gold and get the whole experience cuz it wont hurt you. i was speculatin' about the 80, but i think everyone here could agree that 40mg even with no tolerance would not kill someone, just give them SES (Severe Euphoria Syndrome)
 
i think at the worst 40mg with no tolerance would make someone throw up and never want to take oxycontin again. which most likely is a good thing, at least that way they wont get addicted to them lol.
 
Anyone who honestly recommends 40mg oxy or heroin for a first-time user is plain irresponsible and is completely out of touch as to how these drugs affect opiate virgins.
