First time with Hydrocodone

I'm fairly new to painkillers in general but a friend of mine gave me 6 of these, 10 mg each. I took three yesterday and they took abnormally long to kick in, or so I'm told. It took me almost an hour and a half (I wasn't paying attention to the time unfortunately so I don't have a more accurate guess). I was told I would definitely know when it kicked in, which I did.

Hydro was described to me as a euphoric high but I felt tired and a little nauseous with a very mild euphoria. I just did what I normally do when I'm high at home which is listen to music and chill. It was a little late last night and I woke up early and I can't tell if the affects are still present (5-6 hours of sleep), I don't know how long these usually last. The best way I can describe it as kind of a "highover", like I smoked a ton and went to sleep.

Any important information or tips I should know? Is there a better way to take them? I have another 3 left that I'm saving for a special occasion. I'm also a big fan of benzos (currently have 6 .5mg xanax and 5 2mg klonopin). One thing I also heard is that mixing opiates(?) and benzos is a waste because you'll only feel the benzo.

Ok so my experience with Hydro were with Vicodin 5mg twice and then 10mg redosed throughout the night. I was smoking weed, drinking coronas so the experience is too hazy to describe.

However Easter time last year my cousin got Norcos for me this time and gave me 8 10mg/325 pills. I took 2(my mother found the rest and dumped em, I turned into a raging addict ransacking her room looking for them, I guess it was destiny cuz I loved those pills too much and they're not available where I'm from (empty stomach) and it took 45-1hr to kick. The euphoria was all over my body and I was instantly in love. I didn't consume anything else psychoactive besides cigs which forced me into the most beautiful utopia, almost burned a hole in my hammock kinda nod.
It was the most beautiful body high I had gotten since my pure MDxx roll which was 20x better.

The euphoric rush lasted a total of 1 hour and a half after onset and then left me having delusions when I tried to sleep, irritable, restless and insomniac'd. Drank some Gin&OJ and KO'd eventually.---------It's not recommended to mix alcohol and APAP for liver toxicity reasons.

As you can see 20mg did me the trick without tolerance so I'm confused as to why you didn't get blasted.

Was your stomach full or empty? Have you a tolerance? I didn't have any.

30mg and no good euphoria... hmmm, maybe you're expecting too much? I get a far stronger weed euphoria when I smoke my vape and bong so don't expect orgasm shit, leave that for IV Heroin (not that I condone that as it is the devil's painkiller)


Try 40mg, drink some WGFJ all day before dose, take all at once on empty stomach, smoke cigs at the peak, take 25-50mg DPH or any anti-histamine that is safe to mix with Hydro. Do not re-dose opioids/opiates!! This will build tolerance and cravings!. Any nausea experienced IME was eliminated by lying down but if it's too intense for you then the DPH will help and possibly add to the nod. Do not mix opioids & benzos!! Also how much APAP does each of your pills have in it? If it's 500mg or 325mg NEVER exceed 2g in a sitting and 3g daily(that's just my HR rule)

Accept the high you get and if it doesn't give you the kick you're looking for then go smoke a J and get whacked in the face.

Quite a bit to process lol. I was mostly body high like you mentioned, I must've been expecting something else. I planned on getting trashed but unfortunately not a drop of booze could be found in my house.

And no actually I have no tolerance but I heard effects and amounts are different from person to person. Not trying to brag or anything but maybe I need more or something to make it more potent. Explain the antihistamine thing could you?

Well narcotic painkillers and some other drugs cause your body to release a hormone called "histamine". This causes the nausea and itchyness feelings. An anti-histamine after onset will relieve a user of the histamine hormone to a relative point if not completely. A small dose is recommended and as I said allow the drug to absorb completely (around onset/peak) before taking as the AH fucks some enzyme in the liver and will not allow the good ol liver to produce maximum effects.

Nothing really that I know of potentiates opioids/opiates besides anti-histamines/ more opies / cigs and white grapefruit juice.

Just safely find your sweet spot and please identify the amount of APAP/Acetaminophen/Ibruprofen in each of your pills because the higher you dose the more toxic those drugs are to the liver. (well besides ibruprofen, that's stomach.)

I see I see, that's pretty helpful because the nausea and itchiness was a little annoying. Not enough to ruin a comfortable high but it was definitely present.

Also, what is a comfortable amount of APAP/acetaminophen/ibuprofen? I'll look it up but they're the blue flat oval shaped ones if that helps.

EDIT: it's 650mg acetaminophen so your guideline is still intact, just barely haha

Are you sure it's 650mg? I've never heard of Hydro pills with 650mg APAP, afaik they come in 325s n 500s.

Like stated above 2g MAXIMUM in a sitting is a "comfortable" amount. I'd rather call it a negligible amount of APAP until you cross the 2g region and into anything from 3g-4g in a day.

Maybe the dose or this type of medication was not for you. I wouldn't feel much with 60 mg, but if they were oxy instead, maybe 300-400 mg would have been sufficiently enough.
It's good for you it didn't work as expected. Maybe that's not your thing and that would be great. Enough suffering with opiates already..

Precisely. Opies are the devil's pills. The fact that you cant get whacked on em is a good thing. Like I said earlier, if there was access to Hydro or Oxy where I'm from I'd be like a fish on a hook. After I tried moderately doing it ofc but opies in particular aren't your average coke night, booze night, xanny binge. The euphoria from these pills make them irresistible and people end up justifying using more en more often till a needle or CWE's are needed for your fix.

The best way to take pain pills is on an empty stomach, followed immediately by a small snack/meal to get your gastric juices flowing. If I do this the time they take to kick in is usually 30-45 minutes. Taking them on a full stomach really limits the effects and increases the time it takes to feel the effects.

Very good idea, it's the worst feeling to be high on drugs without having food in your stomach cuz it gets upset with you.
