First time with fentanyl questions

First time poster here, so hello and pardon my ignorance if I've started a thread and should have asked this in a different place, but I feel like I'm okay here. I was given a 100mcg/h watson fentanyl patch and am curious. I generally do 3-4 30mg roxicets a day for at least two years now.

I'm not really interested in smoking the gel or ingesting sublingually. To be honest, I'm just trying to make it to my dr's appointment on Monday.

I guess my questions are: Do I need to worry about ODing by wearing this whole patch at once? I'm kind of looking for a nice little high to get me through the weekend, but due to finances this is really my only option at this time. I keep reading about how dangerous fentanyl is and now I suppose it's gotten me a little paranoid. I also have no one locally to ask specifically about this and this is my last beacon of hope.

I am wondering what is the best way to do fentanyl patch 50 mcg. i was on 160 mg of methadone for10 years. I also have done I guess just about every opiate made in the past. I have a very high tolerance to opiates. I started using the patches one month ago under pain management doctor. They have helped my pain in my back which i am on disability for. I have severe scoliosis, grade 2 spondylolithesis and horrible sciatic nerve pain. Already the patch does not seem to work as well as it did a month ago. I ask my pain management doctor if i could go up on my dosage and he said no. He said the patch was one of the strongest pain relievers I could get and wanted to wait a while due to tolerance issues. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could make the patch work better? Or is there a better way to use the patch.? Any information or ideas will be greatly appreciated. I hope I am putting this message in the right category or post, if not could someone tell me what i should do?Thanks so much for any and all help!

You should be okay as long as you remember to removeone patch for a few hours before putting on the new patch. Ifind they do work well!
