First time with Fentanyl Patches...advice?

Ok, I have just come across some 25mcg/h fent patches. I am pretty opiate tollerant and have done almost all of them except for this one. I was just wondering if there is anything I should know before putting one of these bad boys on? Also, considering my tollerance will 25mcg/h be effective for me? How long does it take to work and when does it wear off?
 
just for example. I normally take 50-60mgs of oxycodone at a time to achive a good feeling. Not to the point of nodding but still worth my while. I can do that 4-5 times a day if I start at 8am and take my last dose at 11pm. So say 250mgs/day of OC not extended release though, just like a normal percocett. If you want to use that as a yard stick for my tollerance.
 
well, the patch will release 25 mcg/h for 72 hours. i dont know if that will phase you much with your tolerance or not
 
If you are using 250mg of OC per day then I doubt wearing that patch will do much for you.

Wearing the patch it will take time to to start getting in your system, 8-12 hours probably.

In my experience fentanyl does not give the familiar euphoric high that other opiates do, Ive always been disappointed with Fentanyl.
 
It made me really tired. I passed out like 4 hours after applying it. I wouldn't say its a euphoric high. It's a definite opiate high, that's for sure. I would say though it's a nice thing to keep around to fall back on when pills aren't available. You could keep the WD's at bay for days with these things. Everyone keeps saying eat the fluid. Is it really worth it? How much do you eat?
 
You are not supossed to actually ingest the patches, since oral fentanyl BA is not high. It is better to rub the gel (or place part of a clear matrix patch) on your gums to absorb it subcutaneously.

Be careful, as it is easier to OD that way. Experiment with small amounts.
 
So you cut it open and squeeze the gel out of the little pouch and put it on your gums? What does it taste like?

i thought bluelight was about harm reduction? this is instructions on how to kill yourself.

don't just go sucking down the contents of a fentanyl patch. you might just end up in the morgue.


if you do this you should use tiny, tiny amounts until you figure out how much is good for you. i second putting it on the gums.

I have had a patch on since sunday and it doesn't seem to be going the distance anymore. Is the gel in that patch still good? Would it work if I opened it up? How long does it take for the gel to hit you if you apply it to your gums?
 
There are several respected members of this board no longer with us today due to fentanyl and abuse of the patches, some of these people were so well versed in opiates and drugs and harm reduction that They knew several times over what not to do and how to survive copious amounts of drugs, but even they have passed on due to the fentanyl.
