I am not an experienced drug user therefore this is all new to me. I took ecstasy for the first time this past Saturday. Ever since then I cant concentrate on anything, remember anything and I just feel dumb. I like to pride myself on my good memory and its frustrating to be feeling this stupid. I also have this sharp pain in my forehead which I have never heard of as a likely effect from Ecstasy, so I'm wondering if anyone has experienced that too?

On another note, I was wondering if I ever tried this again (in a few months) if I surround myself in a setting that will reduce my anxiety, will I feel less of the effects? Or if I felt this way once from the come down, I will always?

You sound like ur rambling. Just relax youll be fine in a few more days.

I'd have to agree with him. You may just be a hypochondriac, knowing you did something 'naughty' and punishing yourself for it. When is the last time you slept since this 'bad trip'?

On another note being in a safe and comfortable place when using mind altering substances for the first time is a good idea. Your friends may seem like they are feeling better because they are used to using X and the 'worry' effects have pretty much worn off. If you were in a place you did not feel good about being in then you are more than likely just freaking out.

Hello there,

I am not an experienced drug user therefore this is all new to me. I took ecstasy for the first time this past Saturday. I know it was mdma mixed with caffeine. All my friends who are roughly the same size as me took 1-2 pills but I am a nervous person so I only took half a pill. Somehow I ended up way more fucked up then all my friends. They went to bed when they got home and the next day felt 100%. I didnt sleep at all and felt horrible. Its Monday and I am still feeling horrible. I feel like my heartbeat is super hard and I hear my pulse so loudly. I cant concentrate on anything, remember anything and I just feel dumb. I like to pride myself on my good memory and its frustrating to be feeling this stupid. I also have this sharp pain in my temple/forehead/scalp which I have never heard of as a likely effect from Ecstasy, so I'm wondering if anyone has experienced that too?

Is it possible I am feeling this terrible from it and none of my friends are because I have anxiety? I am constantly nervous something wrong is happening and googling what's normal and what's not. Is it possible I'm making myself feel this dumb and forgetful? Or convincing myself I'm feeling that? For a first time user who took so little, it doesn't seem that I could have damaged myself too much, but I can't help thinking I will never feel the same.

On another note, I was wondering if I ever tried this again (in a few months) if I surround myself in a setting that will reduce my anxiety, will I feel less of the effects? Or if I felt this way once from the come down, I will always?

Any advice/past similar experiences would be MUCH appreciated! (especially the temple pain!)

Nah man, it's normal to feel a little bit awkward. Just get some sleep and it'll go the next day. You'll probably be feeling some afterglow too.

Hello lightslights, welcome to Bluelight :)

Everyone's tolerance and how they interact with certain drugs, is always going to be different. By the sounds of it your suffering more from stress, by over thinking your situation then anything else. Relax. The amount you took and the fact your friends are fine is a positive sign. If it is bothering you to the degree, were you really want some expert advise, go see your doctor. What you tell him is confidential, so you won't get in trouble and it will put your mind at ease. Though I recommend you calm down, get a good nights sleep, take some vitamins and have a good whole hearty meal.

Give it some time... if you still feel there is something wrong, as I said, go see a physician. The most he can do is give you a dis-approving look aha.

If you did get mdma or mda, then all your happy cells are out of wack..
eat chocolate,, or things to bring your serotonin levels back to normal.. the bad thing about pressies (pills/ xtc) is that you can never be sure what the cuts/ combos are..
start checking out molly,, (mdma/ mda).... the good stuff are clear crystals shards, not to be confused with bath salts, or sass ( which are BROWN to yellowish shards)..

Be safe on your journeys.. if ever in dout invest in a test kit :)

I had the same kind of thing the first time I did mandy too, (and I had also taken a very little amount) - the concentration and memory thing, as I am also a bit of an anxious person and I found that googling it definitely just made me think about it more. It is likely that you're thinking about it too much because it's such a new thing to you, but it will go away, just give it a day or two and try to take your mind off it. The last time i rolled was saturday (2 weeks after my first roll) and I took a lot more than i did the first time and have had none of the negative effects I had the first time, just make sure you test your pill, I find if you know that you're at least taking the real thing it calms some of the nerves. How did you feel during the roll? Did you just have these effects after the comedown?

Its Also very possible that what ur friends and u took wasn't even mdma. Lots of people these days don't even k.ow what mdma is so therefore if ur friends think there rolling and tell u ur rolling and they don't k.ow what really rolling is then none of u were probably rolling at all. Maybe there just used to being piped so therefore they recover quicker. Test ur shit before u ingest it. May I ask what kinda pill did u take?

Yeah I had the same thing on the come up, i think it's because it's something you've never felt before and you have no idea what it's going to be like but it's completely normal to be anxious. I agree with you on the googling and I definitely think that thinking about it too much just makes it a whole lot worse. You will most probably feel a lot better about it next time, I felt the same thing - at least you know you're not going to have an allergic reaction! The first time doing any kind of drug is bound to be scary but yes you will most likely enjoy it a lot more, just remember when you're feeling the anxiety not to fight it, that it is guaranteed to pass in the next 30 or so minutes and before you know it you'll be flying!

Also, sleeping does help a lot and if you're on a comedown as well as exhausted you'll just feel much worse - get as much sleep as you can!
