First Time Trying Methadone

dude, we know it's you whos taking oxy/methadone, you don't have to say "someone" on this forum.
you should be fine though as 10mg methadone is roughly equivalent to 20-30mgs oxycodone , just be prepared to nodd out for 12+hours. methadone doesn't have that euphoric rush you get with roxi (oxycodone) though, more like sustained sedation.

10mg won't be that strong. It will be sedating but not massively so, so long as you don't take any other downers with it. It's lacking in the usual qualities of opiates. There's no euphoria for instance, bit of a buzz, bit of warmth, but that's about it. It's not massively enjoyable IME, being pure sedation. Avoid alcohol while you're on it. You probably won't suffer the kind of nausea you'd get at higher doses, but alcohol would tend to make nausea worse and we don't want you puking in your sleep now, do we? Half-life is around 20-24 hours so you'll still feel residual effects the day after, but only slightly with around ~5mg left in your system by then. You'll be perfectly functional. Don't be tempted to go much higher if you decide to repeat use in future. ~30mg for someone with no tolerance would probably knock them for six.

If I were you I'd take 15mg to start, then look to have a 10mg top up.

try 20 wait 2 hours re dose 10 mg if needed dont exceed 40 though

I've gotten high as balls on oxy plenty of times and had the nods, but nodding out on methadone does not compare AT ALL
I found this out the hard way when I popped a few methadone and decided to take a 2 hour drive to another city
when you nod on methadone you cannot control it at all. Like with oxy you can keep the nodding at bay, but let it engulf you if you so choose.
With 'done it's crazy how powerless you are to the nodding out

dunno about the heroin tolerance, but if you take methadon be prepared for a hell of a nod, the nods are incredibly aggressive
