First time taking suboxone.

Somebody I know ran out of their percocet script 4 days early. They were taking 2 15mg of percocet for past few months straight but was taking opiates on and off for about a year.

Anyways, they ran out and took less than an 1/8 of a suboxone to prevent withdrawals.

This was the first time they have ever taken suboxone... Will they feel the effects of their percocet tomorrow when their script is filled?
 
Did you take an 1/8 of an 8mg or a 2mg? I am guessing it was the 8 mg and you consumed 1mg of bupe. I would wait at least 24 hours, preferably 36 before you indulge on your oxycodone. Even with waiting 36 hours, there will probably be some bupe still sitting on your receptors. Good news is you only dosed bupe once. Wait as long as you can.
 
If you only took 1mg, and don't already have bupe built up in your system from previous doses, you will be completely fine. Based off what I've heard & personally experienced from years of taking bupe between opiate doses; 4-6hrs per 1mg of bupe(assuming there isn't already bupe built up in your system). I've had heroin break through low doses of bupe no problem, but not very likely with percocet. With perc's I would wait more like 8 hrs per mg of bupe just to make sure I wasn't wasting it.
 
You should be100% good I go back and fourth from subs to dope and I usually only take 1-2 mg of sub so I will always have the option to do dope the next day I have found at that low dose of bupe and my fast metabolism that I'm actual always in wd within 24 hours every time .. Also I shoot my sub to sooo idk maybe wait 36 hour to be safe
 
You will feel it ok and do not need to wait 24 or 36 hours as was suggested in above posts. People take low doses of bupe (such as Butrans) daily around the clock and are also given other opiates such as oxy for breakthrough pain all the time...the breakthrough meds still work effectively. A small dose is not a blocking dosage. I am speaking from personal and professional experience.
