First time Suboxone (buprenorphine) dosage question.

so i'm just wondering unlike the OP i have a REALLY high opiate tolerance. 200-300 mg's of oxy per day. Any suggestions on a recomended starting dose?

That's definitely a decent tolerance. Try 2mg, wait an hour, if you even feel the slightest bit nauseous, dont take any more. If you dont feel nauseous, take another 2mg. The second time you do it, if you ended up taking 4mg the first time, start with 4mg, wait an hour, and take 2mg more. (again, only if you dont feel the slightest bit nauseous)

d3Xo-fan says to start with 4-6mg. While he may be right, I'd still start lower. Taking too much Sub is a HORRIBLE experience. I was given an 8mg pill my first time, had no idea what it was, and popped the whole thing. (Yes I know how stupid this is ) I was the sickest I have ever been for three days straight. I threw up every thirty minutes for the first 48 hours. It's obviously up to you how much you start at but again, I'd start lower and work my way up.

I think I found my sweet spot with Bupe.

Wanting to try it again, I took roughly 1mg of my sub and crushed it. I then insufflated small lines, waiting about 45 minutes before the next line. About 2 1/2 hrs in, I feel very nice and mellow. It's not an intense Opiate high, but I'm not expecting that.

Definitely feels better than when I took the larger dose under my tongue all at once.

Bupe is deceptively strong, even miniscule amounts of that 8mg orange pill can have pretty strong effects, positive or negative, it seems.

I do feel really good right now though. Harm reduction at its finest too, because if I didn't make this topic I wouldn't have realized my previous dose was "too much" and probably have tried a larger dose and got myself really sick.
