Heroin First time smoking.

I'm kind of going backwards, but I've only ever ived. I also haven't used in quite some time.. so about how much would you say would be safe to smoke? I have four balloons and when shooting up I would normally use half a balloon at a time.
 
In the future, edit your posts instead of double posting ;)

Try starting out with like 1/4-1/2 piece of a dime or the equivalent of a dub if that's what you get. Smoking hits you very fast, if not as hard as shooting.

I used to smoke 1-2 balloons, although can smoke many more depending on how fucked up I wanna get. Start out smoking one balloon and see how you feel. If you smoke one balloon and it doesn't do anything, then you still have a bit of tolerance from the shooting. Try smoking two. If that doesn't work, try waterlining or, better yet, plugging your dope. That plugging will bring you effects as close (and it is close) to using the needle as you can get.

Technique is very important when smoking.

And, and btw OP, I did the same thing. I tried shooting before smoking. You're not alone
 
What did you do wrong? I'm guessing you burnt the shit out of it by holding the lighter super close to the foil, destroying any heroin content there may have been. OR your heroin was bunk.

Are you using tar?

Smoking isn't that hard though. I used to really enjoy it actually, with the ritualizing and all...

Yeah, well I probably didn't have very good technique, because it didn't do anything for me. My tolerance can't be that high.
And yes, it is tar.
