first time shooting up ritalin - dosage question

i tried searching this on here but couldn’t find anything, i’m getting some ritalin tonight and was wanting to shoot it up because i heard it’s a really good high. i worry about taking too high of a dose, i don’t want to OD or have something bad happen to me. what is a typical good dosage to start with? i want to feel the euphoria but i don’t want to be surprised by any unknown effects. like when i first shot up coke i did wayyyy too much and the bell ringer was so intense and scary i was not expecting it, so i just want to be prepared and not take too much my first time again. any info on shooting up ritalin would be super helpful

start with one regular medicinal oral dose in the arm then if its weak go up slowly

Paramount is making sure you filter the shot really well. You don’t want any of the pills filler particulates getting into your system. Many people feel that shooting pills is a bad idea and it’s absolutely dangerous if you don’t filter it properly.

Methylphenidate is freely soluble in water so in distilled H20 at 68F its solubility is over 100mg/ml with one source reporting 2.1 g/ml under certain conditions.

This means that an OD is in play with a 1ml syringe and absolutely in play with a 3ml.

methylphenidate is remarkably similar to cocaine. Cocaine can cause compulsive re dosing until the supply is gone. Like cocaine overdoses frequently include paranoia hallucinations including audio and even psychosis. So it’s beneficial to stay out of OD territory. Start small with a recognized therapeutic dose. You can always go up but can’t go down on dosage.

Also everyone get a supply of alcohol prep wipes.. dirt cheap and it litterally takes two seconds to sterilize injection sites. Most injection site infections result from bacteria from the skin. Sterilizing the injection site will reduce the likelihood of infection astronomically. Getting an injection site infection sucks, is dangerous and can put people’s ability to get controlled substances prescribed when a doctors visit is required to treat them. It’s so stupid easy everyone should do it every time!

A. Make sure it is IR (instant release) you don’t want to inject ER (extended release)

B. Determine what dose pills you have and make sure they are actually methylphenidate; use the color, shape, markings on the pill and a pill identifier to determine you have the correct drug and determine the dose, mg, per pill.

C. Consider starting with a recognized therapeutic dose. From the Good RX “The typical Ritalin (methylphenidate) dosage for attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is 20 mg to 30 mg per day, divided into 2 to 3 doses. The maximum daily dose is 60 mg.”

D. Absolutely make sure you filter the shot adequately to remove all possibly damaging particulate. When you determine what degree of filtration you need you can consider investing in a micron filter. These are generally a chore to work with but ensure you are getting a shot relatively free of potentially harmful matter. The thing with doing it the right way is that to get the solution through the correct filter you need to give it some help. A lab vacume filter flask and the correct filter is the perfect solution for anyone who commonly shoots pills and wants to make sure they are being safe. Another option is a micron syringe filter, but you will need to determine the correct filter and if it can actually be drawn through. Often times the recommended filter can’t be drawn through even using a 100ml syringe. So im not sure how practical this is. E. Adjust your dosage at a safe rate until you determine the best dose for you. Remember that while ramping up you’re going to have all previous doses on board in your system until 5 x 2 or 3 hours (half life of methylphenidate hcl) = aprox 15 hours. So if you start with 20mg and then do 30mg and then 40mg in a short time you’re going to have 90mg on board. It’s not like the coke where you touch back down ten minutes later.
