RCs first time shooting up; acorn sized absess at my elbow.

OP here. I drew a circle around the lump as was suggested, and the inflamed red bit has retracted far into the middle. I scared myself when i did it, it being the first time I'd IV'd; but the big bulge settled down into nothing but a scarlet mark about the size of a pea within 10 minutes.

What I did was undoubtedly stupid, but then, I doubt I'm the first person to do dumb shit on high doses of benzos. I will keep a close eye on it. At the moment it causes no pain. Needles to say (hurr) I won't be using my ghetto BIC rig again. I've got some proper hypodermics coming in the post. I'm not in the best of places atm, and self preservation isn't my top priority. But I will try to play it safe from now on.

Once again, thank you for everybody's input and concern. If you knew what a retard I was...well, you'd probably not be so sympathetic :)
 
i've actually had an abscess cut out of my thigh this spring because i thought it was germane to shoot methadone syrup. yeah. i deserved that.
anyway, abscesses usually take quite a while to develop, mine took two weeks easily. the first line of treatment will be antibiotics, and if that doesn't help you'll need surgery. check for signs of inflammation and hardening of tissue.
that being said it happened to me countless times while shooting up that i missed a vein and shot a bump, this doesn't mean it's gonna be an abscess.
 
If you are going to be shooting RC's please, please, please look into Micron filters, preferably .22um ones. Please. Otherwise this will not be your first scare and you will get a full blown abscess pretty quickly into your IVing career.

SO what can i shoot? I probably shouldn't shoot a damn thing. I'm kinda getting into shoving stuff up my ass, which i guess is a little safer, I'm a benzo head at heart, so I'm gonna go a shit load of research on adjusting pH of solutions to make benzos good to shoot. I'll probably kill myself; but don't worry your cotton socks about that.


EDIT: Anyone care to suggest some easily obtainable drugs t IV. Fuck I look like such an amateur. Which i guess i am when it comes to IV.
 
New syringes are extremely easy and cheap to buy. Go to your local walmart, spend under two dollars for 10 insulin. I really am baffled by your "ghetto pen tube" syringe. Seriously WTF? Why are you trying to IV drugs when you don't have even a proper syringe (your using something dangerous that is most likely very unsterile), let alone know how to inject properly it seems. Also, there aren't really easily obtainable drugs suitable for IV unless you know someone who sells decent meth, heroin, or coke. you don't want to inject pills, most RCs (injecting RCs is IMO pretty stupid), and anything OTC. Also most benzos are not water soluble so you need something like PEG to dissolve them in, and if your using pills, its stupid because of how much binders and fillers there are. Also benzos especially ones like alprazolam, diazepam, lorazepam, etc., don't give you really any sort of a rush to speak of IVing. You are better of taking all benzos orally. The exception would be midazolam, but you can snort or plug it instead.
 
i'll join and say yeah, there really is no good reason not to use fresh syringes and needles for every injection. they don't cost shit, and reusing needles is a surefire way to fuck up your veins, not to mention that it gets really unpleasant. personally i don't like insulin syringes. i get the 3ml kind where you can actually take the needle off, but that's just me.
there are very few benzos that are water soluble, clorazepate and flurazepam come to mind. injecting pills can only be halfway safely done with a micron, with everything else it's basically playing russian roulette with your body.
also, i really don't want to advocate IV use, but IV benzos always give me a rush that's quite distinct from how it feels like when taken orally. still, unless you spend the money on microns and a fresh, sterile needles the risks far outweigh any high you could gain from it.

I didn't say don't shoot RCs ;). Just order some Micron filters online to filter out any bacteria. If you want to shoot benzos, look into Propylene Glycol, just make sure you dilute it with water before shooting. But even that, you're going to need a Micron filter to shoot pills.
 
I don't think micron filtering is any more necessary for RC's than street drugs, less so if anything as they're (usually) more pure than street counterparts.
The real danger is simply the substance itself, which of course you can't (and wouldn't want to) filter out...

OP: I strongly recommend that you have a serious think about whether IV drug use is something you should continue with. This is an ugly start to something potentially much worse...

That's true, I also heard of Parkinson's like symptoms from people injecting methcathinone that was had manganese oxide in it from the synth with permanganate. Taken orally it was fine they wouldn't absorb enough manganese but injected it produced these Parkinson's symptoms...
 
So u made a syringe out of a bic pen? What did u use for the plunger? The one from your butt syringe?

Dude, what is wrong with you? self-destructive much? People do not start shooting up because they just want to start IVing any fucking thing they can... asking if there is anything you can IV that is easily obtainable is the most ridiculous thing i have heard... if you have a serious liking or ADDICTION TO a fucking drug, and cannot get high well off of other routes that have a low Bioavailability, then maybe IV. But there is no reason to just want to IV. I'm sorry but your being an idiot.
