first time shooter, questions about buying needles at pharmacies in ny

So yeah just say
I need a 10 pack of 1cc, 1/2in tip, 29ga insulin syringes..

You don't need to mention a brand name, they should just give you what they stock. I guess you could ask for bd if theirs an option, I usually just get whatever generic Walgreens ones.

Someone above said needles are illegal without a script in NY, you could still try it. Check online for needle xchanges by you, I KNOW they must have them in NY, that states huge with dope. It'd be criminal if they didn't have needle exchanges to reduce HIV and Hep and the like.
 
I buy mine at walgreens and cvs all the time. Its different state to state, but around here they have no problems selling them. No questions asked.

It might by different in NY, but our cities (ny and detroit) have similar policies on the subject, so youll probably be good.

Just do what JC said though. Try the small pharmacies first, or if you can, order off the internet.

It's all allowed. We aren't strict about needle sources. It's one of the few exceptions we make for the sake of harm reduction.
 
I live in Atl so i just go down to little 5 points to the pharmacy and say i need a 10 pack, don't even have to say what they always know what u mean. they just hand em to you and look at u like get the hell outta here junkie.. its hard to get get a regular pharmacy to sell em to you around here though...

That story reminds me of those glass crackpipes and choreboys they sell at the gas station. I always refuse to smoke crack, been like 5 years since I did it and never want to touch coke again, stuff is gross, but sometimes my connect will want to and I have to buy the pipe for him. It's so awkward, and obvious.

I always give him enough shit to make it all fun though. If I'm buying your crackpipe I'm gonna make fun of you till you cry.

same here in tn. just walk in to a particualr few independent pharmacies and ask for a ten pack or a hundred box, hand them the cash, and leave. done.
 
It is legal to buy syringes in NY. Just go to any Duane Reade or Rite Aid and ask for a few. You can Purchase 1 or 101, it's best to know what CC you need and the diabetic talk for they all have attitudes well most.
 
I've bought rigs all over new york state, from NYC to bumfuck nowhere, easter, western. And i've never been denied a pack of rigs no matter how small the shop is. you have to buy a minumum of 10 though even if they come in singles
 
It is legal in Texas, but from what I hear, you can't buy them in dallas, houston, or maybe san antonio. I live in a smaller, west texas town, and I can get needles whenever I want from a local 24 hour pharmacy. Walmarts will always sell them, Walgreens, and cvs shy away from it, although there is this one CVS that is SOLID. Mom and pops don't sell em, united pharmacys sell them everytime. Just clean youself up a bit, jeez.


Although you can see a littlebit die in the pharmacists eyes when he sells 100 needles to an 18 year old.
 
In NY, you can buy up to 10 syringes w/o a prescription at pharmacies participatating in the ESAP program:

Everyone's right--make sure you know what you want when you go. Only U100 syringes are available in the human trade. I think they are available in 0.3 ml and 0.5 ml sizes--am I correct?

It is really important not to reuse syringes. Make sure you have taken the advice given by the more experienced list members and educate yourself first.
 
I like 1cc 29/30g 5/16in or better 1/2in needle BD Ultra Fine II

I also think writing it down and handing it to them is a good start for first time purchasing. Should make it go smoother.


I was just thinking, if you are new to shooting go with the 5/16in needle

Nothing but a shitload of predjudice and hassling people while they could just make money off you. Fuck that. Selling Cigs to anybody (yea right... a pharmacy...) but not giving needles to honest, paying, friendly, legal-age customers is... well... fuck.

I almost got arrested today. For buying needles. I took a fresh, sealed brand spanking new rig, put it on the table, and asked politely if i could get 10 more of these. That fucking chick paniced so badly when she saw the needle lying in front of her that she called store security and they said i was gonna stab her with it and inject something and some shit. Right. With a new sealed needle on the counter... Get a grip!

Well, i walked out of the store with a gift card again (dunno how much), a free 10 pack of needles and a fucking huge appology. Can't wait till i go in there again and see the cick, making some stabbing moves with my arms or some shit =D. That's great, i love London Drugs and Canadian Wall-Marts. I shot up in the bathroom just out of protest, put a 'thank you' sticky note on the shaprs container and walked out. They care, giving me gift cards 'n shit all the time, saying sorry for being presumptious and shit... You just gotta play your cards well, always realize that you are doing nothing illegal at any point, and don't be affraid to call for the manager. If you are a 15 year old baggy pants wearing rap-fanatic though, that's gonna be mildy pathetic, and you get kicked out for sure. Like everybody else said, looks really mater.

And again: Do cry for the manager if you are at places like Wall-Mart or other big chains. They most likely give them to you.
Actually, buying in bigger quantities (like 100pc.) is *way* less expensive, and you don't have to run to the pharmacy every week.

Oh, another good thing (and forgive me for being a pig here ;)) to have is a girlfriend with big boobs. You can send them, and in 99% of all cases they come back with needles. Or take your arm candy with you or something. Sorry girls, but it works =D

PS: Can someone find the thread about the makeshift syringe =D?

Ahhh... Take a deep breath *inhales*... Then i stick the needle in my niceley popped out vein, pull back to register, and *flup* the plunger slips out :X :X

Oh god, some of my worst rages have been about a slipped out plungers. Nothing like loosing a shot of smack because the fucking rig is to small and in your arm already when the plunger slips out. What a fucking tease :!

This is blatantly, completely, 100% wrong in every way. New york aint included in those states. It is true for NJ and PA, but NY aint a part of that group.

Ima repeat it. The quoted post is dead-azz wrong about the legality of buying rigs in NY. It is completely legal without a prescription. Look it up, see for yourself.

Never in my life have i come across a rig that was too small, there are some which are too small for my liking but never so small that i'm putting close to 100 units in it. with 1cc the most you need is 20 units

just cause the plunger pops out doesnt mean you automatically lose all the dope. this happened to me and i lost about 5 units tops. how did it all come out?
 
well, i gotta admit i was pretty wrecked by the time i tried to shoot up already, so 8) My bad i suppose. Can't get enought of something, BAM, you pay the price!

Both of the times ive used 30ga 1/2 cc short needless they didnt slip out at all neither did the plunger . the only thing i didnt like about them is they had no lubricant on the needle.
 
everybody i know of licks their needle before sticking it in there... I don't know why they do it, i never felt a difference. Is it maybe because it always stings cause i use alcohol swabs?
