There's all sorts of different ways. Just remember that the first leaves you see won't be pointy they'll be oval.
I think old Skool little 6 man trays. Will some germinations soil. You get them here ready to go here by us for cheapSo October it's when we start.
Any thoughts about what method you want to use for the germination?
I would have to see what they have at the market. There's a growshop guy with a stand I wanted to check out, anyway. Otherwise the simpler the better.I think old Skool little 6 man trays. Will some germinations soil. You get them here ready to go here by us for cheap
Your thoughts
Lets get it out this method that ime worked like a charm is hmm doubtfull, or mean unknown? or something else.
Test it on one. Smart sory forgot the name of the person that came up with it,mmm like taking it into consideration.
Sounds like fertulizer death.I need to learn how to grow pot correctly. Every time I try growing indoors it only grows up about a few inches and then it flops over and dies.![]()
So swapping the somewhat harder to work witn unbleached paper towel for coffee filter, slight diff, bit more chanche of love inbetween root and paper towel [more fibery, try make coffee with it!]. But do you promote dark/ bag it, no to little air. And what was about the time the root came was it also within maybe 3 days? The best tip with autos is don't fuck about with them too much. Try to avoid transplanting and heavy pruning as it stresses them and slows the growth rate. As autos start flowering after about six weeks, you need them to grow as fast as possible during that first six weeks to maximise yield.
I've always used the paper towel method of germination with great results. As soon as the shoots appear, they're ready to plant out.
As for soil, I've had best results from just a general purpose peat free compost, nutrients can be added later as and when required. Fill your pot of choice with this compost and water thoroughly. Scoop a cupful of compost from the centre of the pot to create a well. Fill this well with a light soil designed for seedlings, then put your seed directly in the centre of this soil. This allows the roots to develop before they reach the more nutrient rich compost. Too many nutrients at the seedling stage can stunt the plant.
You can mix perlite in with the compost to help retain water and nutrients, but I don't normally bother.
As has been said before, don't overwater. Let the top inch of soil get dry to the touch before watering again. After a few weeks, you can start gently adding nutrients.
I'm no expert, but I've fucked about with different methods and I've found that simple is best.
Mine are coming on slowly but surely, it's just a race now before the bad weather starts...

Tecnically the rain washing out the enzyme inhibitor preventing germanating could wash the seed in the ground.I just put the wad of wet (but not dripping) paper towel in the bottom of a plastic tub, add the seeds, then fold the paper back over the seeds so that they're completely covered. Then put the lid on and leave it anywhere. I've germinated them this way on a window sill, so I don't think it needs to be dark. Sometimes I've had them germinate within 24 hours, but anything up to three days is normal I think. I also accidentally left them for six days once, and the shoot was about 25 - 30mm long and growing into the paper.
I think that if you've got good seeds, germination is a piece of piss.
Germination in soil, even in seadling soil, is like peeing on a nice dose of o-DSMT yeah.I just put the wad of wet (but not dripping) paper towel in the bottom of a plastic tub, add the seeds, then fold the paper back over the seeds so that they're completely covered. I was just gonna add that you use cotton like the once ladies use to clean there nailscoffee filter method - i would have to look for a place to buy them. they aren't very common here.
i guess i'm going to try the paper towel method, plus some cotton as well?
