🧑‍🌾 Gardening 🧑‍🌾 First time planting cannabis seeds - recommendations?

Gardening
Are you serious freaking Summers over dude . Are you an Australian time ! Hello . If you can not get the mechanics in theory of growing outside what makes you think you're going to grow out inside with lights and chemicals fertilizers on and off you should have tried this outside . Next year go to bed . Bad poodle very bad poodle
That was like really PLUR, in reverse. Really Ultra Late Planner.

Though he could have been Australian, Jamaican or African.
And plant outside year round. However real nice words.

She/ he called you a poodle, so akin to she.

I'm a breeder, list any new questions and tag me, I'll answer them all!

^^X2^^

I won't get into discussing growing techniques on a forum because 99% is people's personal info and likely not accurate and posting anything to the contrary creates issues that I'm already seeing in this thread. My advice would be to find someone that has been growing for many years and ask them to be your mentor. Good luck and hope you're successful because there's nothing better than growing your own!

It it's not obvious from the above, DO NOT go to any cannabis help forums because you will only get a bunch of conflicting opinions that you will then have to weed through(pun intended)😜 to get to the correct answer. I'm absolutely sure the people you need to talk to are not on these forums

sometimes, finding someone who would "mentor" you on how to grow your plants is not so easy. i was lucky to have some info on how to do it in my specific climate (it's tricky) before that person moved away. i'm relying now on the knowledge of people i know online and who live elsewhere to tell me if everything is going as it should, and when it's time to do what.

honestly?
i feel a bit like having a baby while living alone in the bush.
by now i'm about 7 months pregnant, which of course is not a real translation to the stage of my plant baby, and i have never never had a child to really compare it with
but i can't barely stand the thick aroma that comes through the open bathroom window and floods the second floor (plant is on the balcony!)
i wish for the day when i can finally harvest the thing, then ask some online sources for instructions on how to proceed in order to get something to show for all the effort i put into it.

I'll give you a simple test you can throw at the people you may inquire with. Ask them if they've ever dealt with HLVd and how did they get rid of it and don't look up what this is and ask them what the full term is, just ask them with HLVd and if they can't answer this question they likely aren't your guy. Second question would be have they dealt with a mite infestation and if so how did they deal with it and again if they haven't dealt with this, they're not the guy you need to be talking to. LOTS of people have success at growing but that doesn't mean they're an expert like many think because if they haven't dealt with any of these issues, or any other major issue then they may be great until they encounter one of these issues.

i just put those seeds on some earth. and then i put the ones that sprouted into some more earth.
and then i put the ones that survived the 2-leaf state into separate, bigger pots.
eventually i realized that i planted them too early (very cold at nights) and placed them where they too much sun during the day.
one plant survived.
on my balcony where it has enough light but is not exposed directly to the sun. a decision based on my own personal experience.

i think people tend to overthink all this growing thing a bit.

I think it time to harvest my girl scout out cookies. And because I'm a total noob at this, and really suck at finding the stuff I want to know on the internet, and have on top country limitations on some sites, I need your help here.

Do I simple cut off the plant and hang it as it is someplace to dry (that's how I saw some noobs 20 years ago did it)
Or do I take off the buds and dry just them?

I've done it a few different ways. The cut and hang works, but I find collecting the keffe more difficult. I just did some trimming tonight on my autos. Did you double harvest them? I trimmed the buds, and placed them on a dish drying rack in front of my filtered air intake fan.
Tray style drying.

I'm going through and reading your posts now. Autos have some tricks that don't seem to be communicated well by the seed providers. 1. Plant the seed in the final pot it will mature in. No transplanting the autos. They will die as you have seen. 2. They move fast, and different seeds are faster than others which can change your nute timing. 3. Autos want all the light all the time. The more the merrier. I push them almost 24/7.

The windows in your house have tinting to screen out the IR light, and keep you from getting sunburned. It also happens to be the light the plant wants.

Tray style... I think that's a good option for me as it's easier to find a dark spot where I can put a tray than hang them.

I keep a fan on them while drying. I use a box fan with a furnace filter taped to it.

I agree that some people make this harder than it is. There are a few key points. Growing indoor you need a good light. That usually means something in the $200 and up range. They need a ton of fert, but it doesn't have to be anything too fancy. It's all some combo of N-P-K. Let the soil get at least a little dry before watering, and water till some comes out the bottom.

there's reasons why you might not grow outside.
like in my case, where it still gets pretty cold at nights.
cold killed one my babies (and two cucumber babies, too) because they were by the open window.
i would have to start in december if i wanted to grow outside without a protection tent.
What you gave birth to Cucumber s exceptional. 😇

Who is the father ? A Cu-commer.
