First time oxymorphone IV dosage

Hello,

I recently acquired a single opana IR 5mg (blue pill with 01 93 imprint). I have heard that it is the ultimate opiate rush but also that it is very strong IV'd. My usual tolerance is about 8 mg or so of dilaudid plugged or ~50mg oxycodone orally. What would be a good starting point for IV'ing this thing? I was thinking of splitting it in half but if that is too little the whole pill would be wasted. However, the stories I have heard of how potent it is makes me wary of IV'ng the whole 5 mg. What do you think? Thanks!
 
A good starting point in terms of harm reduction would be don't start IVing, namely oxymorphone, as it is the beginning of the end. A good starting point with your tolerance to experience a good rush without risk of dying would be 5mg.
 
Why the beginning of the end? I only have one and do not have a reliable source for more. It was basically a very lucky score. I have heard so much about it (champagne of opiates etc) that I want to try it once in my life.
 
just being real with you. the whole 5mg... and I'm being serious because your tolerance seems conclusive and it's really not to powerful at 5mg IV that's what I would normally recommend. mind you I have excessive experience in IV'ing oxymorphone IR pills including 5mg,white and pink 10mg, and the crescent moon 15mg ones. have also somewhat IVd SOME of the ER edition pills.

If I decide not to IV, which would be better, snorting or plugging it?

I went ahead and snorted it. I figured that if I IV'd it and it was really great, I would probably not enjoy IV'ing my dillies. Sure went up the old tooter pretty clean.

lol, 5mg opana IV is like 50mg of morphine IV or 10mg of dilaudid IV...
 
He specifically states in his first post that his usual dose is 8mg of plugged hydromorphone or 50mg of oral oxycodone. The equivalent dosage of IV morphine to 50mg of oral oxycodone (plugged hydromorphone BA is way to variable to rely on) is 25mg. We don't know if this is the dose that makes him nod, or makes him feel good. You just gave him a figure of double the dose he's used to , when we don't even know what that causes for him.

Wasn't trying to argue the quality of the high or euphoria. I was just shocked to see many people telling someone to slam an amount equivalent to a dose of dilaudid higher than his normal plugged dose (by absolute weight, not factored by conversion).
 
5mg of oxymorphine is roughly like 10mg of oxycodone, but alot more complicated..your safe to shoot 5mg based on your tolerance, disregard the statements how dangerous shooting pills are or missing a vein, god knows what cut is in heroin or cocaine when we shoot that, yet no one warns us of the risks of shooting street drugs, only "pills" i have missed shots several times (i was IVing subutex, and a few times ritalin) i never had any acute issues, i may of built of long term issues, but talking to u man to man, street to street, addict to addict, i feel your fine shooting 5mg opana, based on ur tolerance. i had a habit of 500mg morphine daily, if not that 3 subs a day, or being able to handle 80mg of methadone, and when i go tmy hands on opana, i sniffed half of a 20mg, and felt real real nice! so it is indeed powerful..but sniffing 10mgs didnt get me heavily high, what stuck out the most was how fast it kicked in and intense it felt...my opinion...no haters please!

SNORTING IT!!!!! avoid plugging if ur scarce on opana..snorting gives one hell of a rush itself
 
Someone who wanted to abuse this via IV may consider crushing it and dissolving in toluene, suck all of the toluene out with a filter and syringe, dispose of the toluene, completely dry the remaining powder, for harm reduction purposes. To go further, one might consider dissolving the remaining powder into a slightly acidic water solution around 6ph, mix, filter the undissolved precipitate to discard, add sodium hydroxide to the slightly acidic solution to obtain a ph of 8.5 or slightly beyond the point of precipitate forming, filter the precipitate to keep, dry, use, for harm reduction purposes, NOTE: This is an extremely powerful opioid on par with fentanyl and accidental overdose probability is high, you have been warned ;)

You don’t have enough opana to do this properly, you will have shitty outcomes with such little product...
