first time iv hydromorphone

Okay i got a hold of some 2mg hydromorphone. Mallies.

I have some iv experience but a while ago and never pills.

I wanted to get my dosing right because the online conversions
are all over the place and i feel safer harm reduction wise
to get a second opinion.

I'm on MMT at 30mg a day for last 6 months. I skipped last 2 days
and smoked (2)- 100mcg/hr fentanyl patches. I can already feel
the tolerance increase just from 2 days use.

I only have enough HM for 1-2 shots.

So would 6mg iv be too much for me or too little for me.

I just want to experience the legendary rush but still
able to function afterwards around others.
 
There is no way anyone can provide you with an accurate and responsible answer to this question. Tolerance varies widely from individual to individual, and because you have thrown so many variables into the equation (i.e. skipping (maintenance) methadone doses and taking fentanyl) there is no way for anyone to realistically predict your level of tolerance.

You are in the best position to judge your level of tolerance. Simply listing drugs consumed over the last 48 hrs on the internet doesn't really allow someone to calculate the perfect dose of yet another opiate.

That being said, 6mg hydromorphone IV is a large dose for the opiate-naive, but for someone on MMT and using lots of fentanyl, 6mg isn't THAT much. The high potency opioids (like fentanyl) in particular have a tendency to drive up tolerance considerably faster than their weaker relatives, so I would guess your tolerance is pretty high at the moment. But on the flip side you also have to consider incomplete cross-tolerance... So, like I said, waaay to many variables to give you a real answer.

Also the "legendary rush" isn't that legendary IMO, and it's half-life is pretty short. So don't expect to be nodding off for hours or something.
 
Maybe i'm giving HM too much credit.

I feel the MMT 30mg will overpower the HM and result in no rush but just a high?

Am i crazy to think 6-8mg HM IV will provide that great rush with my receptors already full with methadone.

Too be honest i don't want to go past 8mg so this will probably be a let down. Rush Wise.
